I'll be honest...I thought Foley was an idiot for backing the dump truck up to the bank to land Mac. I couldn't understand why they wanted him so bad...up to this point, Foley obviously knew what he was doing.

Still too early for me to go all in. Guy gets the most out of his players tho.

My buddy who is a UF fan had this to say about Mac.

1) He said he enjoys seeing a team that is disciplined and isn't just running around making dumb mistakes and unsportsmanlike penalties.
2) He likes what Mac has done but he is still skeptical in the recruiting of Mac at UF and wants to see what he can do there before he calls him an elite coach. He is concerned with the defensive fallout next year and he year after.
I don't understand this because this is like Rick Barnes at Texas in Basketball. Texas and UF will always get big players in both sports.
3) He fears that this could be a fluke season. Didn't say much about this but this was his feeling.

Overall he has some points but I think it is smart to wait and see another season before passing judgement on Mac. He has been good this year and your offense will always be solid under him. No more 10 point outings on O.

Well uf lived off its stout defense all year. Just have to wait and see what happens when several kids hit nfl. Muschamp coached them up big can your dc do the same. Its possible but I will wait and see

I agree with most of this.


UF will see roster and staff turnover this offseason. The schedule is easier next buto
losing McGee, Thurman and more than likely Robinson will hurt the O especially with Grier suspension.
On D will lose our best player on DL, LB, CB and S.

May lose Shannon, Collins and Nuss as well.

8-4 is very possible.

Why would you lose those coaches?? Also I think this year is shaping up like muschamps first year. McElwain will have to show he can sustain the success but he has done well so far.

True but Muschamp inherited Meyer's roster. McElwain inherited Muschamps's.

Which wasn't very good on offense

I'm excited to get this wr class in and a couple more studs to go with Antonio Callway

If we have to it shouldn't be that hard to defensive coordinator at uf imo

Collins and Shannon are rumored names at UCF and USF.

Nuss may get looks from MAC schools from the talk.
