Pretty spot on. Dobbs is what he is, an inconsistent passer with great playmaking ability. As a general rule, I refuse to engage in a discussion with anybody that does not acknowledge Dobbs struggles with accuracy as a passer because they are either deeply biased or don't understand what they are talking about. Either way, its not a recipe for a constructive discussion. Even many of his completions display inaccuracy. WE/RB/TEs constantly have to make adjustments and catch the ball on the perimeter of their catch radius. We lose run-after-catch yards. He throws a number of passes each game that miss badly. Dobbs is a very productive QB who does some things better that just about any QB in the country. Definitely the QB that makes our offense click right now. But accuracy is not consistent. That is clear.
Please cite the game and minute of action. I've conceded the first half of Georgia was miserable. But Josh was really good all game against Alabama.
I'm about to watch the Alabama game for a 3rd time tonight. I was gonna focus on the d-line and McKenzie. But if you can cite to me all the passes Dobbs missed I'd love to agree with you.
When Dobbs plays bad I don't make excuses for him. He was HORRIBLE against Arkansas and the first half of Georgia. Oklahoma was a game I thought he played bad before watching the game again. Other than the Arkansas game and the first half of Georgia, he's been good to great given the lack of pass protection and receivers getting separation.
Intersting to say the least.
I guess he graduated from the juco?
I thought you had to but apparently that one year of good academic standing AFTER not graduating from high school is a loophole. If he had graduated high school and not qualified academically he would have had to go the two year route. I followed this on HERE so maybe I'm wrong...but that's how it played out.
