Good Receivers are good receivers.

You could Calvin Johnson in the slot of a June jones offense and he is going to destroy it.

Marques Colston played strictly inside in New Orleans. He's 6'5 230.

It's all about getting the guys the ball on time. We haven't been doing it. Has nothing to do with us recruiting "pro style WRs"

Lol agreed. Hope the sarcasm was understood in my post.

Aren't you acute.

I love Joshua Dobbs for many reasons, but I rewatched the UGA game and there are waaay too many times when his inaccuracy hurts us. If I could add .1 to his 40yd dash time in order to increase his accuracy by 10%, I'd do it all day.

I think his inaccuracy is a big, big reason our receivers aren't having the year they should be having. If QD or SJ know the offense and earn CBJ's trust, and if either of them are significantly more accurate than Dobbs next year, would you still make Dobbs your starter?

Careful. I made mention of Dobbs's inaccuracy a couple weeks ago, and people got offended.

Please tell me about all the passes Josh missed against UGA? I mean he only passed for 300 yards and 3 TDs on the second best pass defense in the SEC.

Yes he has jitters early and missed throws in the 1st half. But he was flawless in the second half. He also was great against Alabama when he had a chance to throw. The TD pass to Josh Smith and the 4th quarter passes on the TD drive were great.

A better o-line will do wonders for Josh. He might actually have time to go through progressions and allows receivers to separate.

See?

People equate you mentioning his inaccuracy as you hating him and discounting his vital importance to the team.

So what's your angle on not playing him then and gambling on it?

I believe if they can avoid playing him then the staff with have proper documentation of an injury for a medical RS if the staff wants to ask for an extra year down the line.

'Twas a great one.

Remember when M. Night used to make awesome movies?

Sixth sense, Signs, Unbreakable were all awesome.

The village was pretty good too.

Lady in the Water was terrible. Last Airbender was also not good

The happening I thought was ok. Not that good. But not horrid. IMO

Haven't seen his new one. The Visit.

The Visit was actually decent. He's making another movie with Hollywood's favorite *******, Bruce Willis.

Well, hmm, given your screen name, you must be Josh's Dad. (jk) Despite your bias, being inaccurate for 1/2 of a football game is not excusable just because you are nervous. There was a play, I think in the GA game where he pump-faked to the RB or a receiver in the flat, then passed long down the sideline and threw the ball 5-10 yards past the intended receiver. The 2nd TD to Kamara was almost incomplete because of inaccuracy.

Numbers for the UGA game: 25/42 = 59% (not accurate)
Numbers for the Bama game: 13/22 = 59% (not accurate)

So, MY question is that if Dormady or Jones can pass at a rate more like 70-75% completions, would you bench Dobbs?

Indeed he is a jerkoff but his system will light you up. Babers is doing it at BG and Tulsa is doing it. All teams that are lighting up stats sheet

I hear people saying what a jerk he is all the time. He seems like a likeable guy in every interview I've seen with him. He spurned Texas to stay at a little school, which made me like him. Other than signing someone he allegedly knew to be a rapist recently, I haven't seen any evidence that he's a jerk off.

Tired of some of the press whining about length of college games and overtime. They want it to be more like Pro.

Please, no...

It's even more concerning when you factor in that most of our passes are very short passes.

But no I wouldn't bench him, he's playing winning football despite his inaccuracies, and his legs keep D honest

Even if we had an improved OLine next year that was top-4 in the SEC (just hypothetical, obviously)?

I do agree that his legs makes the game much harder for defenses, but it's hard to see the difference when we can't make the defense pay through the air.

Dobbs has the same completion percentage and less passing yards than Johnny McCrary. BUT, I will say Dobbs has looked better each game this year.
