The drops just killed us on nearly every drive too. I just feel like it was obvious that the passing game was out of whack and we should've went back to our bread and butter much earlier. I can't blame him for trying to take some shots on a bad secondary.
For all of the coaching mishaps in the first half of the season, the letdowns in execution on the field are the difference between being undefeated and being another -1 in the win column right now. Opportunity has been there... sometimes dropped, sometimes fumbled, sometimes wide left/right, sometimes mistiming a play on a thrown pass.
Actually had heard this summer before fall camp that QD had told a friend that he was thinking of transferring. Even shared with some of my Texas buddies then when he was named number 2 and has looked good, I was embarrassed thinking where I sometimes can get some info must have been way off. Maybe it wasn't But I know it was not anything to do with the staff. It was more competition and missing Texas. Hope he sticks with it.
Jones shouldn't have said it, but not because it was disrespectful. He shouldn't have said it because interpreting it correctly would have required a modicum of reading comprehension and just a moment of intelligent thought, both of which are far too much to expect from Alabamans.
The only time I'm been unhappy with him was the 2nd halves of Oklahoma and Arkansas. He let his foot off the gas way too early against OU and the gameplan against the Hogs was pretty bad. No issues other than that. I thought the offensive gameplans were fantastic against Florida, Georgia and Alabama jmo
