With Henry likely gone after this year, and Chubb facing a possibly long rehabilitation. Is Hurd the 2nd best RB in the conference after Fournette?

Dobbs has to best the preseason 1st team QB next year with Prescott gone.

If JRM is back he may be the top defensive player in the conference with Nkemdiche, Ragland, and Hargreaves gone. Garrett would be the only other guy I can think of and he is just a SO.

Phil Steele has been tracking starters' injuries and how it effects year to year record changes.

In the last 8 years, when teams have lost 34 starts to injury, they have a 70% chance of improving their record the next year.

So, let's add them up.

Maggitt = 11 starts lost
J. Robertson = 1 start lost (so far)
B. Kendrick = 5 starts lost (Alabama onward)
North = 1 start lost
Gaulden = 12 starts lost

That's 30. Then you get into the gray areas with Tuttle (was he starting?) and McNeil.

EDIT: Marcus Jackson is another 12. That's 42 before Tuttle and McNeil.

If we don't improve straight up I'll be crushed and if you add in guys being back we should be top shelf SEC material.

Losing Maggit sucks but with all the reps being tossed around in his absence it only makes us stronger for 2016. Defense wins championships and we should have the best front in all of college. Tuttle, Khalil, Phillips, Barnett. We really need to capitolize in 2016.

Slim to none I'm assuming. Anyone arrested for climbing in a window to a woman's house, getting naked, and her calling the cops on him will likely have a tough time getting a college head coaching gig. He's better off in the NFL where he seems to be killing it

Lol

I had forgotten the details but time served and good behavior make things fade away especially if PM is on his side

When gary said JRM was the best player on the field I gained a lot of respect for him actually

One of the clowns also acknowledged that Josh Smith was a darn darn good football player, catching 3 of every 4 targets even badly thrown balls..

he slobbers on all the national contenders

He still can't get through half a Florida game without talking about tebow.

Nothing worse than swinging from the establishments nuts, but modern sports media is built on it.

Atlanta sports talk radio was trashing Dobbs today, saying we'd be undefeated with better quarterback play.

Odd statement I thought.

You know when his QB play was spot on? When he was taking Georgia behind the woodshed for 300+/100+/5. Take a seat, guys.

Heisman better? Sure, but who wouldn't. He is covering a lot of weaknesses but he brings a few too.

Can we get a top ten class this year? After this year I am a firm believer we need to be top 10 every year in recruitng to compete. One off year just means one drop off in another season. I believe UF is likely to prove that next year.

I think Butch has done well in keeping them focused on the game ahead and nothing else...
That said, I do think they were a bit off after the FLorida loss, but the fan base/media went insane and wanted to fire their coach and was accusing him of beating up players.

Yeah that was a little much of a knee-jerk reaction. It feels like forever ago too. I'm sure those players heard some of what was said. Does nothing to help IMO.

SIAP.

Even at 3-4, Vols are 12th in the ESPN FPI.
ESPN Football Power Index - 2015 - ESPN

I believe it. Honest question. What other teams in the country could play Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia and Alabama, with two on the road, and have every single game be a one possession game? Looking at the AP top 25, I'm not sure I can find very many.

Shame we haven't won more.
