The guy is always running for this life. Since the O-Line can't contain the edge, every DC knows to come at him at every play. There is no way this team gets to 8 wins.

He does not see muliple receivers well either but when you are running for your life it can be hard to do.

For better or worse, he doesn't always know when to give up on the play. Sometimes it is just best to throw it away. Of course it's easy for me to see that- from my couch I've got a much better view of the field- but also would've liked to see him throw the ball up more to give the WRs a chance to make a play.

Your 8 win comment though... Um no. We run the table from here on out. We need to be mad and need to take our frustration out on The rest of the SEC-E

A great O-Line can make a decent quarterback look like a superstar. Take that away and that quarterback is exposed for what they really are.

Didn't have many open targets. He should have chucked it into the stands on several occasions. Put us in awful down and distance situations. He has to get rid of that ball sooner.

Someone always has to start another garbage thread without any substance to place blame on Dobbs. OP, put any QB in the country back there in his place and you will get the same results or worst.

You guys are nuts. You've gotten so used to b****ing and moaning that you don't know how to do any different.

Josh Dobbs played a great game. A couple of the WRs (Smith and Malone, with help from Johnson, Pearson and Jennings) had good games. The OLine had 3 and a half good quarters (mostly), though they are certainly the biggest Work In Progress element of the offense. Our D played one of its best two games of the year. Special teams minus Medley were solid. Medley's in a slump, and might need to sit out a bit until he gets over it, but he's still a good kid who bleeds orange. The coaches called mostly VERY good game, with just one or two questionable calls.

Learn how to be fans of the team and not fans of your bragging rights (or lack thereof).

Proud of the team. Go Vols!

Our receivers are flat disappointing. Bama can get freshman to look better than any WR we have. We need to recruit some WRs that actually can play the position like Bama does.

That is why they run the ball.

Running can only get you so far and that is why every DC plans to get him flushed out of the pocket. Think about Kapernick, RG3, Vick, and every Florida Gators quarterback within the past two decades.

Dobbs got saved by his receivers, and the Bama D on several piss poor decisions, too. Don't act like he didn't make some bad decisions that were lucky to not be detrimental to this game.

It's all timming with Dobb's, but some QB's handle the blitz better, indeed.......he has some great skills but has trouble scrambling and then throwing on the run with accuracy.....many QB's have the same problem however.....the difference in the good ones and the great one's no doubt.
