Bruin left this thread for good? I vote we move all of the recruiing forum into the Kyle Davis thread now.

I mean, we offer a WR yesterday, we aren't showing up to his game (which I understand why) Kyle changes his profile picture to him wearing Geogia gloves, it's just all becoming pretty clear.

I bet your floored anytime you see a plot twist in a movie. How long have you followed recruiting? Auburn fan sites are worthless and their info is submitted to drive clicks not to provide accurate information. They have no clue, just like the rest of us. And it's funny how you pop up like a pimple on prom night just to make comments in this thread. Let me guess you are a Auburn or a Georgia troll posing as a Tennessee fan to 'bring us the bad news'. Your schtick is repetitive and old. So much for creativity.

While I don't expect him to pick Tennessee at this point, none of these things are exactly evidence of anything especially the offer to another WR or not showing up for his game the night before we play at Alabama... and you have to look very closely to even tell that those are 'Georgia' gloves - it's anything but obvious. I would bet a Georgia decision is what you are hoping for and to that end all I can say is:

Georgia 31
Tennessee 38

The one thing that bugs me about all of this is that we still have a preponderance of "we didn't want him anyway and he will be very sorry," posts. We did want him, anyway, and while he may be sorry, it is his life and his decision. I still hope he chooses us and will be disappointed if he does not. I will, however, manage to move on if he chooses one of the other two evil schools.

I haven't seen any 'we didn't want' posts... as for 'he will be sorry'? That's just standard message board rhetoric. Definitely not exclusive to VN.

I know you follow recruiting so there's no way you can actually believe it isn't gonna change
The point he is making is that, as an EE, the time between now and NSD is cut in half...and it's pretty rare for athletes of KD's level to make a commitment this late and flip, when they are an EE. I think being an EE would allow Davis to be involved in the offense every bit as much as Preston Williams is now....if not more so.

I suspect Guarantano will win the starting QB job as a sophomore, and at that point, Davis would have one of the 5 best QB's in the country slinging the rock at him. Should be a scary-good offense. That's how complete I think the G-man is.

It actually isn't that rare at all. I understood the point.

What are the odds, Kyle and Mecole's moms got together and decided to put on the full court press for UGA? I'd say pretty good.

If a recruit can visit Auburn the same weekend they get beat by Miss State and then follow that up with watching us blast Georgia and still pick one of those schools... I do not think we want him. I am not saying we shouldn't take him but to sit in those stands with 102,000 VFL's and watch what we all watched and then pick the school that is clearly headed in a downward spiral, seems to me that would be pretty out there. There is no better atmosphere in College Football then what he witnessed against Georgia and that game was a perfect example of two schools going in two totally different directions. Seems to me that a top WR would want to be thrown to by a top QB with an upcoming loaded roster... Thoughts?

Lol! There's a lot more to making these decisions than what you mention.

I'm not coming at you personally. If kids thought like that Tennessee would have never built their roster back up with the decade of shat that we have been through and these kids have watched.

Interesting that Burnin' Orange had good news yesterday afternoon and everything else since then has been AU/UGA.

Not sure the UGA gloves pic means much. Why ruin your own announcement by showing your hand like that after going to great lengths to be so tight-lipped about it all?

Lol, Georgia is not a dumpster fire. Look at their recruiting the last couple of years. They can make a case for having the most talented roster in the SEC. They don't have a good coach but the worst thing SEC fans can hope for is for Georgia to fire Richt. A good coach comes in there and they are back clicking on all cylinders. And they have Jacob Eason, 5 star QB committed so you can't really say he won't be getting the ball from an elite QB. His ranking says he's about as elite as they come. And that's the situation with both UT and UGA QB's. Both schools are banking on projection from that position. I

1) We do really want him... very badly and this is a loss. We will be fine at WR in the coming years, though. Preston Williams is a freshman and Josh Malone is a sophomore. Our staff needs to work hard to develop them. We need to hold on to Tee Higgins, class of '17.
He will be a great.

2) All of the things you said about our atmosphere may be true but it will always be tough to overcome a mother's influence. Georgia is putting a monster class together that also includes a 5* QB in Eason and the Georgia staff can sell that hard. Sure, Richt is a perennial underachiever and will never win a national championship but there are a lot of negative things to pitch against Jones' coaching as well.

3) Ultimately, it may be sour grapes but I agree with those who say that it doesn't really matter how many good WR's or RB's Georgia has. They find a way to lose 3 games a year anyway and whenever we have a good team, we beat them... even when we are bad it's still a close game.
