We're in the student union eating, headed out in a little bit.

Some georgia yahoo walked though shouting go dawgs ( sounded like he was already drunk) so I said "Gimme a THREE!"

The sun will break through by kickoff and we will shock the football world by dark. These clouds will break and we will win a big one.

Nice! How is the student union? I haven't been yet

It's really nice, with the exception of no auditorium in this building. That won't come till 2018 I think.

The tables, if your grabbing something to eat, have room to get around. Very modern feel.

You mean the 5-7 Fulmer team?

Not the 13-0 Fulmer team

Fulmer didn't exactly leave a stocked team

What part of 2 walk-ons on Oline means depth and experience?

Great coaches don't need a two-deep of 6th year double redshirt AA senior citizens in order to make the toilet bowl.

College football teams are perpetually young and never in possession of ideal personnel at every position, just as the ostrich contingent on here will never lack for excuses.

What happens to the anti-Butch crowd if he actually turns things around and starts winning?

Seems like there are several around here that will be highly disappointed.

Countvocula, I couldnt qoute you as I have had you on my ignore list for years. But your constant negativity on this board is more than overwhelming and ridiculous. I mean every single damn post. Not just this season but for years.

You not married? No kids? Own your house, I'm sure it needs some preventive maintenance. Nothing more to do than put down the team you supposedly love?? If we were 5-0 you would still be bit$#in about something!

It's very old and if I was a mod I wouldn't let 80% of your posts see the light of day on this site!

Amen!!!

On a little lighter note:

SEC nation just showed Smokey and I told My 5 yr old daughter, that he almost bit Paul last year....I asked if she knows that show we watch with Paul- she interrupted me and said "Feinbaum they down south Paul. Yeah, I know"

We obviously watch to much SEC network. Not sure if I'm proud or ashamed. 😆

Herbstreit wouldn't know, hasn't been to Neyland in God knows how long. Every national media I've heard comment that was at the OK game said it was the most electric atmosphere they'd ever been in for a college football game. He's FOS.

And then Tennessee laid a golden egg. Every aspect of Tennessee football has produced except for the team.

And if you don't believe it, watch how quickly the crowd gets quiet if Georgia gets a good lead.

That's the case anywhere. Samford stadium wasn't rocking last week past the 1st qtr.

Bryant Denny was emptying out early for the Ole miss game.

The swamp was dead as a door nail for 54 minutes.

The OU game was as good as I've seen Neyland ever.

The common theme...when there's reason to get up and get loud fans everywhere will. When theres not they sit on their hands.

its not exclusive to TN fans.

You're not very objective.

Fulmer's roster that Kiffin inherited had experienced competing & winning Big games.

2006 & 2007 had several wins that would be considered "signature" wins for the last 6 seasons.

The culture of winning and confidence had not been eroded.

Last year one of our best OL was Jacob Gilliam - a walkon playing tackle with a torn ACL.

2 walk-ons is a bit of a stretch. Both Sullins bros played in '09, but only 1 started.

The current roster has never known anything but losing. The Vols have averaged 6.5 wins from 2008-2014, with a high of 7 and low of 5.

2009 had plenty of talent and several players that went on to be drafted.

If you can't see the progress then I don't know what to tell you - it is night and day from 2012. That team quit at the first sign of adversity.

We just need to clean up some sloppy penalties, poor coaching decisions and execute when the opportunity presents itself.

This year could be the turning point. I don't have a lot of patience for fans that have written this team off and seem hopeful that we lose.

Butch is here through 2016 - no doubt about it. So, why not just cheer for the team and let this season play out?

tl;dr

Go Vols!
Objectivity is not his gig. He's trying to regain his E-cred from being a hard core Dooley guy. I think he still has a thing for Dooley.

That post proves that you couldn't find your own rumpus with both hands

If he's only remembering the Arky game maybe.
Our stadium was hype city during the OU game. By the time the Arky game rolled around though, the fans and players were not in high spirits. Point is though if we start winning, the noise level, or lack there of, in Neyland will fix itself.
