Smdh....is there anything a freakin' cop can do you that you wouldn't justify? ANYTHING?

I didn't justify anything....I asked how everyone would have handled the situation differently and the only answer I got was to do nothing....that's obviously not an option since it was this specific cops job at the moment.

Let's get you on end of something like this some time and then we'll see how cool you are with it.

InB4 "I'm not a thug so it will never happen to me!"

confusing, or was this rhetorical? Im sure if I act like the guy in the video then Im pretty much pissed if the police give me a free Happy Meal in lieu of arrest. Because, ya know, asking nicely sure didnt work.

To some, pointing out bad behavior = justification.

If that wasn't you justifying, I'd hate to see what your actual justifying looks like then.

This is only a very slight improvement.... Still garbage

The guy wasn't exactly getting punched in the back of the head or choked and there's no footage of what actuslly caused the take down. The cop didn't over react when dude was getting up in his face trying to film his badge number...

Uh, he had a gun and refused to put his hands in the air and already shot himself as well. What's the issue here?

Oh nothing, just stuff like this.

"She said police officers on scene told her he was trying to commit suicide and refused to drop the weapon he was going to use. Anthony, who lives on the corner of Tulip and South Scott streets, then heard five gunshots and ran outside."

If you want to commit suicide, just call the cops. They're completely willing to kill you. I agree with the idea of self defense. However, I always have very mixed emotions when the state kills it's citizens. Even if it's sometimes required.
Cops only escalate situations these days, they never attempt to de-escalate.

It's just enormously depressing. A life was ended in that video. Yeah, I know the guy would have likely committed suicide later on blah blah blah. It's just depressing.

I just looked around to find the actual news story covering what happened....I gave all the details that may be pertinent to this event since their were misconceptions out there like the guy being 16 instead of 12. It is very easy to watch a quick video and have all of this faux outrage.....I was asking how everyone here would have handled the situation differently then the cop and not a single person answered the question.

Sometimes those people that want the suicide by cop will actually kill someone else first to ensure they get killed. Police don't have any other option in these types of situations when the suspect has a gun.

Ras should take notes..... This is the legitimate type of cop video that creates discussion.

Having not seen what transpired before the guy ends up on the ground with a boot in his ear keeps me from from offering an opinion, but at first glance it looks pretty brutal.

I read the title and figured it was BS half truths like most free thought videos are but unless there is other evidence it appears this one is 100% accurate and the cop deserves to be fired if not in jail... The story I found.... The guy approached the cop asked him about blocking the street....the cop instigated and enhanced the situation by talking about the guy being on probation and ended up kicking his a$$ in the middle of the street.

U wouldn't do your job? What is wrong with you all? If what I read is true then I don't consider it any kind of abuse whatsoever.....it was a cop doing his job.

Just doing my job can justify a lot of bad ish. They can't enforce every law and there is definitely wiggle room for them to use their judgment.
