You're saying 2 and 9 are for sure better than North?! I don't think a single team in the country would take either over North.

who cares.....whos more productive? who actually gets open? 2 and 9. Yeh north looks like a no. 1 in his uniform but he doesnt play like it. Thats just the truth of it. North has the most upside obviously but the other guys are more productive and make more impact so id say that poster is pretty spot on.

I am not discussing talent I am saying changing the game

2 and 9 make way more plays that change the game than North. Perhaps the rotation slows North down but it's the same rotation for 2 and 9 as well

They simply are more reliable IMO

Ya, that's all that matters. If a QB or OC are incapable of getting the ball down field, the little slot guys must be better than everyone because they get more touches with short throws.

I am really starting to get the feeling that CBJ is doing everything he can to get this team up to speed for SEC play. We may not see the real team 119 until Florida. And he really wants to beat Florida and it may cost us the OK game this weekend.

Your definition of reliable is "gets more dink and dunk throws less than 5 yards beyond the LOS because bajakian couldn't imagine a play beyond that."

Many of the posters complaining about north coming off the field in the rotation are the same posters claiming last Saturday was an extremely impressive performance. How can one complain about north but also claim we were the best we have been in over a decade???

I'm sorry but I doubt a man that is so in touch with the perception of his program as Butch would give up the opportunity to win a game against a top 20 team who is a top 5 program at home. I doubt the chance of sneaking up on a brand new staff at unranked UF takes precedence over this game right now.

Against an awful defense? You don't think optimizing our offense should matter because we blew out a cupcake?

Curious on what brought you to that thinking?

There's nothing we can do against OU that would hurt our chances against UF, aside from maybe having Dobbs return punts or something.

If we beat OU, the team will roll into Gainesville with an enormous amount of confidence.

Nah. If this were the case, we wouldn't be checkering Neyland this week. This is a game that can put your program back on the national landscape finally...it's a big deal, and Butch won't leave anything in the bag.

Either way Butch will be under an enormous amount of pressure to beat Florida. He better have them prepared. I think he realizes he can't lose both.

OL don't run near as far on each play. Sure they get winded and besides we certainly don't have the depth to have a rotation anyway like we do at WR
wr's can play ten plays, they practice running all of the time, also its been going on for more than a few decades, so no

Sure playing a lesser opponent helped with that stellar performance but IMO north being a big factor isn't a huge piece of this offense going forward at an elite level just like it clearly wasn't on Saturday. He is just another guy in our very talented rotation IMO.

By mid season I think he will be 4-5 in most peoples mind. I know this isn't popular but I just think 2,9,3,15 and maybe 7 will all be considered more productive my midseason.

Is our running game more Edge Blocking oriented than most offenses over those few decades???

If so you are comparing oranges to apples
