The reason for my confusion is that Trut shows his date of birth as Feb. 26, 1945, which would make him 70. I am fairly new here, and don't know much about him, but thought that he was a young guy. I couldn't understand how he could have recent military experience. That is why I assumed you were talking about Huff instead. No sir. Trut.
I have a great deal of respect for him. Not sure why, but I do. We rarely agree on anything. I think it's his approach (philosophy) and his background. (Military)
(Not to mention his dad is a farmer/rancher.) and unlike some I disagree with (huff,Dink,Etc) he proposes his arguments in a non-combative way. Most like to be pricks.

I think that Huff, Trut and Dink are all well educated, Huff and Dink only lacking much real life experience. Trut's military experience would necessarily make one mature quickly.
As far as the program I'm looking into, it's still very much tied into rudimentary arch studies. I'm thinking LEED is more in the theoretical direction and usually accompanies the Master's program.

Gotcha. Make damn sure you are committed to it; its a crazy time commitment. Saw too many people realize that late at UT.
While not untrue about better, cheaper, there is nothing wrong with enjoying the finer things of life. (And I am not necessarily including Applebees in that.) If it costs a little more, then so be it. Many have certainly earned the right to do so, and living like you are still in college gets old after awhile.I am so disappointed in people when they'd rather pay $11 for Applebees burgers when you can get tacos al pastor or pad thai noodles for $8.
There is a better, cheaper world out there people.
Oh goody, another government bureaucracy that we get to pay for that will soon become bloated with retirement packages and overpaid employees that work maybe 5 hours/day shuffling papers from file to file.My proposal is to document them for taxation and they can go through a fairly long probationary period before they can collect benefits and or apply for citizenship.
What you just laid out is "amnesty".Amnesty is a tricky word. I don't like giving law breakers preference over people following the system.
Open borders up, while documenting/screening entrants.
Protect border
Forgive resident illegals if they voluntarily document themselves. Permanent record will show they did originally come illegally.
Probationary period more like 10 years (tho that's pretty arbitrary)
Those situations are not going to change. Ever. Sorry trut, but somebody has to win and somebody has to lose. I admire your magnanimous attitude towards those less fortunate, but I do not share it completely because many of them will come here and bring the squalor they are escaping right along with them. I was lucky to have been born here, and I will not apologize for it, nor willingly send myself into poverty just to assuage your inner demons by supporting less fortunates for their entire lives. That is what is wrong with this country right now. Hand ups have become hand outs, and that sucks the life out of success because somebody has to pay for them. I am tired of paying for people that do not appreciate it and think I owe it to them because I am successful. They did. Man do persons in here feel justified outrage at someone for merely insulting them and hoping that something bad might happen to them. Goodness, we can only imagine the justified outrage towards persons who think it right to close borders and force desperate refugees to stay in a violently atrocious situation.
There are actually some nice hostels in Europe. I have stayed in more than a few with the missus (her choice btw) and we always have a great time.... except the one time when some pos eurotrash came in with bedbugs. Don't those people ever bathe? ****ing hippies.Um, thanks? Jeez.
Just because I don't have a wife and kids, in no way, means I don't have responsibility. I'm still managing a few properties, directing services and hospitality concepts for my LLC, undergoing a rigorous craft cocktail apprenticeship, and will more than likely be returning to school for architecture in the Spring.
The lady in question is wrapping up her Masters and may resume travelling before starting her PhD next Fall. She's already seen most of Europe and stayed in hostiles, so I guess I'm unsure about your definition of slumming.
Architecture is a hard major because of the time sacrifice. I watched many days from the studio when my roommates and friends were going to the Strip and I had to stay in and work. I have that diploma. I am probably one of the few people that can honestly say that if I could re-do college I would party more.Rough major at UT. Not sure about the other UT.

Oh, and dink, while CAD is "amazing", imho, it has taken a lot of the fun out of design. I was trained using lots of markers , pens, crayons, paper etc to design projects. I am just not a computer guy when it comes to that stuff. And on an individual project with non repetitive features, I am much faster with a drafting board than a computer. I guess I'm a Renaissance man in that regard.
Does anybody here really know what a blueprint is?

Oh, there's not enough estrogen in the world to significantly decrease your bombastic masculinity. It's quite a shame you never put that testosterone heightened virility to use in the military. I'd imagine that such a courageous paladin as yourself could have single handedly slayed all of America's enemies in one great blow.
Maybe in your next life you can actually enter the arena, as opposed to being relegated to merely assuring everyone that you are super courageous and menacingly tough.
Best of luck.
