Is that OL we had committed for a long time, former NFL player son, Orlando Brown or something. ended up at OU. He doing anything? Second team?

I hope he plays -- why redshirt him and see him leave for the NFL, after the RS soph season ? Or worse, maybe he gets pissed off and transfers to Ole Miss after this season. Put him in along with KM and Kirkland.

You think Butch Jones & Tennessee would ever allow a transfer to another SEC program?

kid could barely pass high school. Whats he mad about? Hes 340lbs and they couldnt run the ball at all vs Akron. Our DEs will destroy the young fella making his first road start. Hes already thinking too much.

Since Drew did not play Saturday, do you think he is being redshirted or was he just not ready since he did not early enroll?

If the tackles stay healthy they may be trying to redshirt. VQ said he has made some impressive improvements the past week or 2 so he could make a move later on. Some are ready game 1 and some are ready later.

Oh noes. Someone has to redshirt like 60% of college players. OH NOES!!!!!!

Or, redshirt this year and take the LT spot the next three-four years. It has been said he has to get stronger, which is the case for most 18 year old lineman.

I'm watching the Oklahoma game. They have some dirty weapons at WR. Not sure about that QB so far. I'm still early in the game though. But they've had 2 or 3 3rd and 10's or so and have been super conservative.. Draw plays, short screens, etc. Which makes me think they dont trust him to throw the ball down field unless they can catch the defense off guard. He's hit one long pass, but he basically just threw it up and the receiver beasted and went up and grabbed it even though he was blanketed.

Their defense looks good, especially keeping Akrons mobile QB in check. But Dobbs would eat this guys lunch. And Akron is mostly weaponless on O.

Not sure what I think about our chances. They will certainly be tough. But I think our offense is running a whole lot smoother at this point. We are in year 3 of this system with the perfect QB to run it. They are still trying to adjust to this style of play, and it sort of shows. Their QB looks talented and quicker than I expected, but there are kinks still being worked out for sure. Our speeds on defense looks pretty comparable. Our D might be faster honestly.

We better be ready to tackle in this game though. Because they are going to try toget their speedy weapons at receiver into space. If we tackle well we might dominate this game in my opinion,

But it wouldn't surprise me if they come out swinging hard. Should be a good game. Our crowd is going to be a huge advantage.

I think we win 45-28

I have a feeling they move ball at will on us but routinely stall out inside the 20 and settle for 4 field goals which keeps us in reach. We likewise get inside he 20 but capitalize with touchdowns instead of FGs. Dobbs is deadly in the RZ.

Vols 42-33.

I hope we force them into a true Air Raid offense and they abandon the run game. Mayfield will throw a couple picks and we will capitalize big time.

I can actually see this game turning out like UT vs UF 2012. They may take an early lead, but our ground attack will wear them down and Hurd/Kamara will bust a couple of long backbreaking TD runs.

Honestly we have to avoid giving up any long touchdowns. I'm not convinced that they're good enough on offense to consistently put together long drives against us. They just don't look sharp enough to me.

But they are explosive. They have the speed to kill us in one play if we let then. We can't give them anything easy. If we force them into long drives I think we'll steal at least a couple of turnovers.

I watched a very long (20min) highlight video and they did look good on the short to mid passing game. And their receivers make people miss. The also use their good RB's on short passing routes. They are big and fast. OL looked a lot like ours last year. Didn't show much of a running game which is odd since they have a Heisman potential RB in Perine.

Their defense looked good but its really had to tell against Akron.

Im leaning more and more into Oklahoma being a win. I really think Bowling Green was the perfect game to help correct us correct our deficiencies before playing a top team.
