Saulsberry not available. he is helping coach but will not play.

Mac was winded after two plays Saturday. Don't be surprised if he is used very little this season. Hard to get into game shape in 6 weeks and he is not there, not close.

so we have 4 DTs that can be counted on this week..

From Larry in the football forum. First I have hear of Mckenzie being used very little this season

6 weeks is plenty of time to be in shape enough for 2 plays. Sitting down for 2 hours and then going full speed with no warm up will make anyone be in oxygen debt. He'll be fine when his first rep isn't late in the 2nd half. Usain bolt would be gassed after sprinting after sitting for 2 hours.

I've seen him around campus, he is plenty "in shape" for a DT, I'm going to say his problem is conditioning since he hasn't been on the football field for so long.

He may have conditioning issues, but no way anyone can say that based on 2 plays 2 hours after warm ups.

Exactly. He was standing on sidelines for hours not doing anything. He comes in during a blow out with no energy in the place. A big time game with juices flowing and he will make himself go longer. It's possible he is limited again next week but he will be in there a lot versus Florida, UgA and Arky that don't run no huddle uptempo

Most of what Larry post isn't from just watching games. That post sounded like what somebody said on the inside to me

I ventured into the FF and read zjc's rushing TD breakdowns. Really good stuff.

I have been watching football a long time but never played. Because of that, I don't know much of the technical side of the game. But after watching those breakdowns, it is clear why Coleman Thomas is playing. I think it explains why they tried him at tackle last year because of his athleticism, but he is clearly comfortable at center. I am slow with stuff like this- just an observation.

Thanks, love these kinds of posts.

Praise for Weisman in those few plays, any football people have an opinion of his performance as a whole? There was a lot of mudslinging about his presumed hissy fit that got him a starting spot he supposedly didn't deserve.

I am only smart enough to see When a OL screws up and from what I saw he is the one that missed the block on the sack

LWSVOL is Catbone plus 50 years and with inside access to the program. He only posts bad news and takes a very pessimistic view of the program and the team's potential.

Jalen Hurd has about 20 pounds on Eric Striker. That'll be an interesting matchup for sure. I loved seeing Hurd break that BG defensive end.

Lol! Are you serious, Clark? One miscommunication between him and Coleman the entire game. One sack. I know it's Bowling Green, but Worley was pressured the entire game against a FCS school last year. I have zero complaints with the OL play Saturday. I'm interested to see how good they really are against a legit power 5 DL.

Didn't say he played bad only pointed out the one bad play.

Also said I wasn't smart enough to state any OL overall performance. For all i know he played brilliantly other than the one play

We need to strike fast on Saturday. Hopefully get the ball first. Two well-rehearsed drives with plays OU hasn't seen on film along with a single defensive stop changes the dynamic of the game immediately.
