To Protect and to Serve...

They say there's a video that offers a better view, but it hasn't been released. It sure looks like they shot him with both of his hands in the air with distance between him and the officers. I think this one may be worse than the SC shooting where the cop shot the guy in the back as he was running away.

Unless there is something that you can't see from the video then this is much worse than the SC shooting....the sc shooting you could at least see how adrenaline could get the best of you and end up shooting the guy running away after they fought... This looks like cold blooded murder.

inb4 volbeast says he could have been about to cast a level 64 fireball spell with his hands in the air like that.

btw, paid administrative leave for those murderers. When do citizens get that kind of benefit of the doubt?

They are automatically put on paid leave for any cop related shooting pending the results of the investigation.

Really? He shoplifted a Snickers, a Lil Debbie zebra cake and a Mountain Dew. He didn't go in there waving a sawed off, throwing people to the ground and demanding the deposit bag.

A weekend (or two or three, whatever) of roadside clean up is a suitable punishment. The guy can't pay for $5 worth of groceries, what else are you wanting out of him?
Snickers, Little Debbies and Mountain Dew are what you consider "groceries"? First, no wonder America is so fat. Second, I would be a little more sympathetic if he had stolen $5 worth of broccoli or spinach. He stole because he is either lazy or his moral compass sees nothing wrong with it. Now let's get philosophical about all this. Would YOU front him the money for these kinds of "foods"? Why should the shop owner? When azzhats like this guy steal from him, how is he supposed to stop the bleeding? If you dismiss this as nothing, you are showing that you have absolutely zero experience in retail, and therefore zero credibility when arguing the point about harm. My father ran a retail five and dime store for years, and it is staggering the amount of merchandise that is shoplifted. Somebody pays for that. $5 here, $5 there and pretty soon you are talking about serious money.

Ignore him. He searches all day to find something to be offended over.

Most people have said that he should pay it back, plus punitive damages. Where have you seen anybody say he should go Scott free?

Your point?

I think the pic is the point.

Many of you like to pretend to know what it is to be a cop. You like to sit behind your computers and mouth off about the atrocities.

But none of you have had the balls to suit up and do it. So imo, until you do, stfu....

You judge them all by the actions of the few. And honestly, if you don't break the law, whether it's 2 bucks of weed or selling loose cigarettes, you won't get your ass killed or beat half to death.

No one on here has ever second guessed a cop in a situation where a guy pulled a bb gun vs real gun on them. In a case like that, I would obviously side with the cop to defend himself. But when a cop pulls a guy over on a minor traffic stop and decides to escalate the situation or decides to take a simple street arrest to a street fight, then that is where the cop hatred begins to ooze out.

I call BS

You have shown time and time again that it doesn't matter with you. You consistently look for an angle to blame the officer. I will not go down that road with you.

Like I said, man up, Put on the uniform and show us how it is done.

That last sentence could make things awful weird depending on how the reader wants to take it...
