'15 TN TE Kyle Oliver (UT Signee 2/4/15)

He would rather play at a junior college than at Vandy. Lol

Lol that is hilarious

Surprised he didn't take up the Louisville offer. He must be hoping to get another one. I know he really wanted FSU to offer last year

I told ppl on here long ago the kid 1. was a blue shirt 2. He was a major hype show just like Josh Smith 3. UT didn't really need him. He was a big kid who they threw lob passes too, and wasn't really TE material. If he'd hv stayed at UT he might hv contributed late yr 3 early yr 4. Not bashing but i said this long ago. What i say is not meant to be detrimental to the kids but true assessments of talent.

What does the bolded part mean?

Josh Smith will play a lot of ball for vandy this year.

A little premature to assess the talent of either of these kids...

Sticking to his guns. Gotta respect it.

Playing a lot of ball for Vandy doesn't necessarily signify talent.

He will not play for Vandy this yr. The kid is listed as a MLB and is nowhere near heavy enough or ready for SEC ball right now. Its never too early to assess when you have film. Go watch the Blackman game in which Blackman ran the ball over 35x. Josh Smith the MLB had ZERO tackles. Now you tell me what that says. Kyle Oliver on the other hand was the biggest guy on the field and often had games with one or a few catches with like maybe 7-10 passes thrown his way. Not hating on the kids at all but they were a little over rated.

I agree on both.

I had the same thoughts about KO watching a few games last year.

i dont disagree at all. The only part thats wrong is that josh smith is not heavy enough. Hes closing in on 240 on their roster. Thats good size for a freshman. I agree with D1 about Oliver and Smith though. Plus Bowden is their MLB at Vandy.
