The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

This was posted in the FF, but it's a revised preseason top 25 ranking by USA Today.

They rank Vandy #121: Last year's first, Ohio State, begins first in the NCAA 1-128 re-rank

If Vandy is truly that bad then 1-11 is all but guaranteed.

One response is that there is NO WAY they are 121 because of how many players they are returning. They added 1-2 quality players this year with Josh Smith, but that excuse of returning players is not valid when you are returning the same overall talentless team with the same coach who's in over his head. I don't mean to bash these kids because I personally couldn't make their team, but let's be realistic with who exactly is returning.

our guys don't stand a chance. The level of intellectual brutality that will be unleashed upon UT in Neyland will collectively raise the IQ of the vile fans there for a solid 5 days after the game. I can only hope that dobbs can put up at least 40 points so we keep the score close. but then there defense is pretty much the '85 Bears and no doubt a couple of rousing speeches by the grand orator Mason will have them playing at their upmost level. and because of the extra time the spent on us last year I doubt they even need to prepare for the game against our paltry team.

You forgot that our D will never get past their OC's eyes.

Doughty put up some impressive stats for sure. This season will tell, IMO. I just know that Towles threw for 369 yards against UF (#5 ranked D in adjusted rankings) and nearly 400 against MSU (#17 D in adjusted rankings).
He didn't do too hot towards the end of the season.

Doughty absolutely lit up some awful defenses (almost every team WKU played last season had a defense ranked 70th or worse, and he threw for a season low 134 yards against LA Tech's 30th ranked defense), but I will admit he has come a long, long way since they played us in 2013.

Regardless, I hope he throws for 600 and about 8 TDs against Vandy.

Not directed at you specifically but alot of people forget that Florida's d was terribad early last season and miss st's d was easy to pass on the entire year, the run defense was good but alot teams had it easy passing on them until they got in the redzone.

Terribad or not, I still think MSU's and especially UF's defenses were in another league compared to BGSU, MTSU, UAB, FAU, Old Dominion, etc., which Doughty faced last season. Plus, UF's secondary was still elite for all of last season.

Not taking anything away from him--he's obviously thriving in that system--but I think it's fair to imagine his stats being trimmed in half facing the same defenses that UK played last season.

I'll miss him for the sole reason of never getting to see him throw his visor after UT beats him again after he retires. His snarky little comments come off as sour grapes when he's losing and snide arrogance when he was winning. I'm not a fan of either.

Their defense is fearsome..just check out one of their tackles..

Michael Sam is even shaking his head.....

but hey, atleast they dont have to worry about him raping any coeds.

Nope, after having a couple of accounts blocked they will track your IP address and won't allow you to create any accounts. They will even ban you from viewing their forum. It happened to me.

start> cmd > ipconfig /release > ipconfig /renew
and if that doesn't work, download tor browser for great justice.

My fault, I was referring to Towles not doughty. Def agree MSU and UF were on a whole other level than those teams. I forgot to say who I was talking about.haha Towles has the measurable but didn't really impress me that much but to be fair that could be because of the talent, or lack there of, around him. Sorry for the confusion.
