If warrior is a vol he does a dang good job of making it sounds llike he isn't publicly. His last article bothered me with the whole Dale Carters son thing almost coming off offended but then again it was a UGA article slant

Eh.
It doesn't make much sense with most everything else that has come out.

I will repeat like I have the last 10 times..... we have KD and NW. Very very good chance we will also have TL and sooner than people think. Period. Let's focus our attn on Mecole. I mentioned before that we have a shot but we are not leading. Well, slowly but surely, the mo is moving towards us. I would call us even at this point and his visit will go a very long way in getting him inked. This is turning out to be the est class I have seen in a decade.

Truth, btw, TL is a Vol. Only reservations his family HAD (not have) is the system since TL is a pure passer and not a spread guy. Questions were answered by Butch as he will fit the offense around TL. This is the pitch Butch has told them and it is something you do for the #1 player in the nation. Expect the next Peyton to arrive in 2018.

As for KD, Dudi isn't full of Dudi, lots of momentum with KD's mom, the one you need on board. Mecole shifts with the wind so expect this weekend for the winds to change.

I'm not necessarily trying to diffuse what he said. But if you watch these interviews on video, the person doing the interview directs the kid with the way they structure a question. I don't know if he's a silent. But Hubbs stated less than a week ago we where in a good position with Nigel Warrior.

Dude- of course i know that and so does everyone else. So what is the point of even posting info if you want to wait till signing day. Trust me when I tell you that we have KD and NW. Look at the WR offers and commits that UGA has accepted in the last 3 weeks. They will get one or two more WRs this month. Look at what is happening with Shyheim Carter (yes- UGA will get him, not LSU). BTW- that is another reason why MH is looking at us. Yes anything can happen, but you don't move the dad to Knoxville (and are getting convince the mom to do the same) if there was nothing. Those moves are permanent. There is a reason why KD has now set a date after these developments. NW was always a Vol--there is no #2 regardless of what you hear. There has been a lot that has gone on behind the scene, so when you say "anything can happen" that is just insulting to anyone that posts info and to our amazing staff. This will be the best class we have signed in more than a decade.

I'm cautiously optimistic, but my question is that everyone kept saying this would be a down year in recruiting b/c the talent was not a good and we were signing a smaller class. I've conditioned myself to be in the top 15-20 instead of the top 5-10. Did something change? Are we (potentially) getting guys that we didn't plan to get originally? I would think it would be hard to overcome last year's class and the projected 2017 class. Just curious. Thanks for the info in advance from whoever can provide it.

I would very much love for Mr. Asian Faeces Factory to be correct, but stats will need to be established and checked before granting official insider status. Are you up to the challenge, Stinky-san?

With Butch Jones as our coach, you need to condition yourself to us getting a top 5-10 class EVERY YEAR.

If i was a QB and WR then I would be all about a wide open offense these days. More opportunity to pad stats. I think any QB that sees the WR we are lining up has to like the potential. He will prob get to see QD play this year to get an idea of what is in store for him

After reading the 247 article about Warrior where he said TN was recruiting him as Nigel Warrior and not Dale Carter's son I feel better:

“Of course, that is where my dad played,” he said. “I would love to play at Tennessee and follow in my father’s footsteps. It is a blessing to have Tennessee offer me as Nigel Warrior, and not just as Dale Carter’s son.

From everything coming out of practice about QD, I would very much guess that CBJ is using him as the example of how he can fit the system to the QB.

If you are a talented passer that can run, or a talented runner that can pass.....he'll make it work.

or make you a NFL caliber WR.........whichever comes first. :)

I don't care about any insider status or anything like that. i don't get my validation from any message board (even a Vol board). All I am trying to do is sharing and celebrating good news with fellow Vol fans. Sometimes it is just that simple.
And yes- my info will be correct. Just wait and see.

All about context. Unfortunately some of these Bama and UGA beat writers are less than honest to get hits on their site.

I like the info. Thanks for sharing the good news

Mostly joking, but definitely hoping your info is good. Thanks for posting.

Part of this boils down to changes in the projected size of our 2016 recruiting class. Because of the large 2014-2015 classes, it was widely believed at the beginning of this cycle that we would probably be able to sign only about 17-18. It is difficult to have a class that small ranked in the top 10, let alone the top 5, without an exceptionally high per-signee rating/rank. With a number of recent departures from the program, including some from the incoming 2015 class, the target number now appears to be roughly 21. And who knows whether there will be additional shakeup before the end of this season, which might enable us to sign an additional player or two more than are currently anticipated. One thing you can count on from Butch is that he has contingency plan stacked on top of contingency plan and that he will not stop recruiting relentlessly until the final "whistle" blows on National Signing Day.

Per Hubbs

As we have said on Davis for weeks now, we believe Tennessee is firmly in the race along with Georgia and Auburn. Davis was on campus just a few weeks ago for the July Orange Carpet Day so if he makes it back this weekend that has to be looked at as a plus.
