Sources close to Warrior feel that Alabama currently has a lead in a battle that includes virtually every SEC program and several national programs including Ohio State and Oregon. Alabama’s history of putting defensive backs in the NFL is a major factor along with his relationship with Tide defensive coordinator Kirby Smart. In addition he likes the fact UA head skipper Nick Saban is also involved in the secondary.

Alabama’s main competition for Warrior’s signature is Tennessee, as Warrior's father is former Volunteer great Dale Carter so there are connections to Knoxville. With that said Warrior was a prospect who many had pegged as a Vol “lock” but that no longer seems the case with Tide seemingly having turned. Long way to go with this one but UA has put themselves in position to make a run at the elite Peachtree safety.
