'16 TN F John Fulkerson (UT commit 11/6/15)

He's better that john. Btw, do you change lightbulbs? Or just talk about the old ones?

Obviously the coaches getting paid millions disagree with the church league legend himself, compare their offer lists and get back to me, I'll wait :whistling:

There is literally no evidence that supports your uneducated opinion that whatever dudes name was with 1 offer is a better player than Fulkerson, but I'm sure you'll still continue to argue it

That's my point. Better players will equal more wins, which will move us up the respect ladder

Would you be ok with Derek Reese if he was the 13th scholarship player, never saw the floor until year 3, say averaged about 8mpg junior season, and year 4 was the 6th or 7th man coming off the bench getting 15mpg as a senior?

If we had a better roster of players, then I'd be ok with a player or two like that. Right now, we have a roster full of Derek Reese types

I completely disagree, I feel Reese is by far the worst on this roster when considering how long he's been in the program.

But you basically are agreeing with my stance, if we bring in a class of 5-7 recruits, and 5 are top 150 guys, and Fulkerson is the lowest rated recruit, then it's ok. No?

If he's the last recruit. What concerns me, RB is going to sign a few lower rated players.

I don't think so, that would mean he's going to sign him guys he hasn't offered/evakuated/invited to campus/or watched in July, doesn't seem likely to me. When you look at the board I think the Vols are favorites for Bone/Williams/Fulkerson...and are very real players for Wright/Jenkins/Bkackwell/Ekiyor/Fernando/Okogie/Cameron...so I think they definitely can land those first 3 and 2-3 off that next list.

Are the "real players." In order?

I am confused.

What are you saying here???

That's what path this kid would likely play??

Quite possibly? I think he would be a likely redshirt candidate ideally, and probably focuses on getting bigger. If the class fills out like I was hypothetically saying, he won't be needed immediately anyways, so he will be allowed to progress. You look around at your schools that aren't UK, Duke, UNC etc. and lots of times they have a 4 year player or two that maybe wasn't all that highly rated, that just continued to develop and gain experience, and by junior/senior year was a solid piece to the team.

I would be much more enthusiastic about Fulkerson's game if I knew he could go to his right ? Everyone of the plays I watched him make on his highlight video was going to his left, his dominant hand. I do like his shot-blocking ability and long arms and he looks like with an added 20 to 25 pounds of muscle he will be big enough to battle at UT or other Big time programs.

If you are saying it's ok to recruit a guy you expect won't play until his junior year and then only 8min a game that year that is incredibly odd for a guy just a few months ago suggesting saving scholarships was the way to go

Sure some guys will end up following that path but recruiting a guy expecting that path is simply an unreal losing mentality.

If a coach thinks a kid is 3-4 years away from being in the top 7 players on the roster then please move on to the next kid.

I absolutely think certain players that's ok to do, you don't do it with a dime a dozen kid, but 6'9" athletic guys who can handle the ball don't grow on trees. There are plenty of examples around the college game where guys are brought in and are developed, not given big rolls in year 1 & year 2, but by year 3&4 are leaned on pretty heavily. Regardless, seems like there's not much room for people to question his talent as that's how 2 power 5 offers in as many days, already looks better than the bigs Tyndall brought in.
