The hosts, Ian Fitzsimmons, said that Tennessee is like the prom queen and is all glitz and glamour but not something substantial that you would want to take home to mom. Houston Nutt chimed in and agreed that we did not have anything on the lines other than Derek Barnett, especially in the interior D line. He said we would have a lot of guys playing that nobody has heard of.

Yeah, we're like the prom queen...the one that's also valedictorian, most likely to succeed, a future Rhodes Scholar, with a full ride to Harvard and a 36 ACT...with a 5th degree black belt in jujitsu.


...but go ahead, keep underestimating us. I like it that way.

Did Foster say anything particularly disparaging about Tennessee regarding his beliefs? Or was it, as an atheist it's hard to fit in on any football team, kind of thing? I mean, let's face it, football is often very analogous to life in general, and many times, religion (Christianity) is heavily tied in, at least in some parts of the program. I mean, look at Dabo and Clemson. They baptized players at practice last year.

I could imagine how it'd make an atheist or even agnostic feel a little uncomfortable.

Explanation of Gary:

Volunteer08 posted that he called the DA's office to get info about the hold up on the Von case. A guy named Gary explained to him that a lot of things can go into a case like this, many different areas a hold up can arise. He didn't know the case specifically, but was nice and stuff.

30 minutes later the DA clears Von.

So... We attributed Gary and V08 with setting Von free

Yesterday, Marcus Spears was on SEC Now and listed Barnett as one of the best four (4) D-Linemen in the SEC. However, he barely mentioned Barnett before dropping to his knees and unzipping Garrett's fly. Figuratively speaking, of course.

There's also a rumor floating around that Gary is a janitor in the DA's office. Volunteer08 called in and Gary got tired of the phone ringing and no one picking it up. So, he did...Gary and Volunteer08 subsequently hit it off immediately as if they were long lost pals. After hanging up, Gary went over to the stack of pending case files, picked up Von's and moved it to the secretary's desk with a note saying "nothing here, let's move along".

When asked why he got involved, Gary quoted Voltaire: “It is better to risk saving a guilty person than to condemn an innocent one.”

Voila...here were are today.

Our DL will devour them. Basically it will look like what UF has done to us for the last decade. Just a demoralizing dismantling of their OL and Grier.
