The Confession of Arian Foster

For some reason people want to generalize religions with what certain individuals do . Just because achmed blows up something in the name of allah does not mean all Muslims are radicals. When someone who believes in Christ screws up or is being hypocritical about something you generalize all Christians as that.

I mean all seriousness people, have you ever had a bad meal? Well, did you stop eating because that meal just didn't meet your standards? Just let every believe what they want to believe as long as its in good nature. No need to pick out a few people here and there and generalize religions. I know awesome Christians, Muslims, and Athiests and I really don't care to judge anyone of them as long as they're happy. Everybody just treat people nice, because at some point or another, you were on the receiving end of someone being a dick and that shiz aint cool.. End rant...

Is it football season yet?

Never believed in ball security either.

Wonder if he has ever won a championship at any level.

lol, What exactly makes Arian a P.O.S?

Because he fumbled at bad times?

Admitted to being given meals here?

Because he doesn't believe in god?

Even if all 3 factor in, that's an awfully screwed up reason to label someone such a thing.

I generally reserve the piece of **** label to people who abuse others, rapists, murderers, those types..but different strokes for different folks I guess?
yes, yes, feel sorry for him.

You base this on the fact that he's said, what....3-4 controversial things in the last 6 years?

Athletes have the mic in front of them all the time. They never speak their minds. They just say the same stupid stuff because of the way we react. We want them to be real until they say something we don't like. Even if they only say it once every couple years, they are "iconic attention whores".

:eek:k:

If he conversationally strolled between politics, sports, climate-change, etc. in his comments, I'd say he harbored no bitterness, ill-will, etc. But that isn't the case. He's been noted on here several times (over the years) for what he says specifically about an institution which granted him a $50k+ valued education/tuition/books/meals/housing, etc. for playing a game. He clearly dislikes UT and many on here (not I) take it personally. I just wonder why the dislike.

So, to use your own post, BECAUSE he has "a mic in front of them (him) all the time..." and he is aware "...of the way we react..." he decides to offer controversial comments. He does it for attention. Otherwise this thread/article/ESPN snippet (etc.) doesn't exist and we're not talking about him - which he apparently dislikes.

To sum up, why should the world care what AF feels about God? Exactly. So why the controversial comments? Exactly. Attention.

So I take it you think Tebow is an attention whore as well? After all why should the world care that he's a Christian?

Everyone is free to believe or not believe in the almight, but when it comes time for the end of my life I know where I stand and glad I have him in my corner. Adrian has his opinion. Seems like a big risk to me, but he's entitled to believe what he wants.

One thing is certain, we will all know one day.

It's not a risk at all. Many Christians don't believe in hell either. Nor do the Jews. A lot of them believe that those who are not saved will not experience a rebirth and eternal life. Their souls will simply be destroyed.

So every athlete that thanks god, or mentions God in anyway, is an attention whore?

Good for Arian. As an atheist myself, more of us need to come out of the closet to show people that there's nothing "weird" at all about rejecting superstitious mumbo-jumbo.

I bet you're winning hearts and minds by calling what people consider sacred "superstitious mambo-jumbo"

I'm glad my tix are in the upper deck so when Hou comes to town I wont get struck by the lightening aiming for him. But that implies he actually plays instead of being injured.

I hope he asks his surgeon and nurses not to pray over him before his surgery this week. That should work out well if it goes south

Agreed. Because God makes all of his decisions based on who begs the best. It's the only fair way for a perfect being to make decisions.

Very good to see that a professional athlete is openly atheist...Props to Arian, and hopefully this encourages others to stand up to religious pressure.

Yeah because if they don't pray before the surgery, then they'll probably forget what to do.
