'15 GA WR Preston Williams (UT Signee 2/4/15)

I know since he's a student-athlete the requirements are lower and so on and so forth but I would not have gotten into UT with an 18. I knew people with higher scores than that who didn't get in.

I got rejected with a 24...and that was 5 years ago.

i may be over confident in this since I haven't taken an ACT in over a decade but it just seems impossible for me to think an average student with the academic support team at TN under Joc Scogins can't at least score an 18.

in seeing his personality, I would almost bet he didn't give two 💩 the first time he took the test then actually tried the next time

i know it doesn't matter at this point but was curious if the NCAA had a clause about the SAT being supplemental in this case to the ACT. as in, if Preston had taken the SAT and scored well on it, that it could be used to validate the jump in ACT? knowing the NCAA probably not, but seems like that makes some type of sense to me.

Do not even belong in the same paragraph together, much less the same sentence.

You're probably right. But given the current situation, my guess is there was no supplementary information to validate the score.

Not that a nice score bump should be assumed to be cheated on... Which is a joke.

He probably had a bagel WITH cream cheese the day of that exam, which escalated things

That's my guess as well. Didn't take it seriously the first time, then actually tried the second time.

Liked for BMS reference.
