Ukraine II: The Fight Against Russian Aggression

https://www.rt.com/op-edge/311174-media-russia-putin-pugachev/

Oh, really?

I'm confused. I thought the world media was too concerned with Michael Brown, US bombing X, US tension over gay marriage, Freddy Gray, Confederate Flag issues, Marine Corps recruitment shootings, what a "cesspool the US is" etc., to be concerned about Russian oligarchs who have run afoul of the Tsar Putin.

Like Americans or anyone in the West, for that matter, know who the hell any of these people are.

Goodnight.

God, what a ****ty journalist site. But it is fun to rip it apart, nonetheless.

I'm curious. Did they ever determined what happened to that Russian General? It was around the time Putin wasn't making appearances and there was speculation about his health. I think the general was a bodyguard or something.

Unlike Putin, Trump goes bankrupt too often.

Trump is a poor money manager.

So is GM and a slew of other corporations, aren't you the one who's unemployed? Your Trump envy is showing again..😂

To clarify my point, I think Russia's misinformation campaign largely possesses the objective to create just enough cynicism and self-loathing in the West, capitalizing off of the Iraq War debacle, that Western populations will largely keep their governments in check. And, should these governments choose to act with military force, then domestic populations will react with such vitriol (and I wouldn't blame them, quite frankly), that it could potentially be political suicide for any Western government.

Yes that's what Russia is trying to do. My point was that it doesn't have to succeed much (with a western audience) to maintain the status quo.

That said, the bar is lower with respect to sanctions (as opposed to military aid). Even a modest softening of public support might be felt there.

What? He's a poor money manager. I can't help the facts.

And what does that have to do with me being unemployed?

Yes, I set the summer out, but I'm starting a new job in mid-August.

Good! You seem to get out of sorts easily with too much time on your hands.

I know why I'm able to post quite frequently on here - because I have a job that facilitates Internet action, not to mention that I can stop grading a paper at any point I want to take a five-minute trip on VolNation.

I would like to know, however, what sort of jobs some particular posters on here have that are so important yet allow them to do nothing but post on here all day long.

Must not be that important. Something tells me that some on here may be pulling some government checks, perhaps for some previous service with the government, not letting on about it, then coming on here to criticize others for taking money that might otherwise be going to their government check.

Anyhow, carry on.

I'm retired and draw SS. It is not a major part of my income though. Also, since I was self employed, I had to pay in both my part and the employer's part. Very poor investment compared to my others.

That's fine, 72. That's what you deserve.

You're not who I'm referring to indirectly.

Sorry for any confusion.

Apparently Graham Phillips was briefly detained in Moscow last night.

The Putin parody account joked that it's the shortest a so-called journalist has ever been imprisoned in Russia.

first off sucks that someone had to die trying to pull of an air show maneuver. and IIRC helicopters aren't supposed to go vertical nose first. likely one of the systems lost pressure or lost alignment or something. from the way it spun i wonder if the rear rotor wasn't working as well as it should have, and or maybe both rotors lost function enough to not be able to hold itself up causing the drop and spin. just my non expert 2 cents.

also Russian Military Engineering has never been particularly concerned with survival.

besides being on the MSM teat and US government troll I work architecture. the way my small firm works I get a lot of 1-5min down time every 30 mins or so. perfect for posting on the internet. for instance I am working on a file that is 166 megabytes and that can take some time to save.

I honestly don't care how anyone is capable of posting on this site throughout the day (that's not meant as a slight to your post but rather as aid to my original post). It was mostly just a reaction, however, childish, to particular naively utopianistic posters on here (however few) that have persistently attacked me, unprovoked, largely because of my former job. The post was made mostly in jest. Mostly.
