'16 GA ATH Kyle Davis

247 UGA mod and homer Rusty Mansell doing some apparent damage control on their message board

So much written on Kyle Davis it is hard to put the pieces together. I don’t recruit Kyle, I cover him, so I don’t know who the decision maker in this for him is. I do think UGA is in it and very much in it. Had a source (Not a normal one) tell me last week, “he is going to UGA, he just does not want everyone to know, he likes the recruiting process too.” Now did I run with that? No I did not, just saying there is a lot of information and lot of people talking about Kyle. He does not say too much, he is a smart kid and knows a lot of eyes are on him. I have said it before and I will say it again, if there is a huge threat to UGA it is Tennessee and he is there this weekend. Putting my pieces to the puzzle that is where I think his Dad may want him. Do I know that for a fact? No, just putting together things I hear. This one is another one that is going to go a long way.

The Archer team must be damn good with Kyle Davis on it along with Isaiah Pryor! Come to UT Kyle and win the SEC.

"Keith Niebuhr posted on the UGA247 site that two different sources told him UT and AU were his top two with UGA as his "distant" third."

The kid was committed to SC right? You would think if he was that stuck on UGA he would have been committed there and not Clemson jr. (shot at Spurrier). This kid knows what type of offense he wants. He wants the ball in the air a lot, and he wants the offense to feature his talents often. I would say the fact both UT and UGA have top QBs committed in his class is a major factor. Just my opinion.

But where are you?

Rucker:
Just spoke with the elusive Kyle Davis.
He's not making any specific references to a top list or anything like that — he shut it down once too soon, in his opinion, and he doesn't want to do that again — but he said Tennessee helped its cause a lot today.

Just had a chance to talk to Davis. Had a great visit today and said his favorite part was how small the event was and how that led to lots of 1-on-1 interaction with the coaches.

Also he and Guarantano spent a ton of time hanging out today and just left the complex together to hang out more. Seems like those two are hitting it off. Not surprisingly Davis indicated he's paying close attention to the quarterback situation at the school's he's looking at.

Kyle wouldn't say for certain that he'd be back for an official visit but if I had to guess right now I would say that he will be.

Still hasn't cut things down down to a final five, but he plans on being a mid-termer and wants to take five official visits in the fall, so there's a little bit of pressure to trim things down.

In short Tennessee definitely helped themselves with Davis today.

“i enjoyed it all. Everything. Every little thing about it,” davis said after his visit. “i mean, every time i go up to a school, they roll out … well, in this case, they roll out an orange carpet. But it was great, man.“when i walked in, it blew me away.”

“just the environment here was great, and jarrett, that’s my guy, man,” davis said. “just the company and the social aspect of it were great.”

davis said having a quarterback he knows, likes and respects in his class is important to him, and that his growing relationship with guarantano is a good thing for the vols.

“actually we talked more about music and how we’re doing and stuff. We were getting to know each other a little better,” davis said. “i’m just looking for stability in a quarterback, you know? That’s very important. It’s very important that you have somebody [at quarterback] going with you.

“it’s also important that you like the person that’s throwing it to you.”
