Probably not the place for this but here goes.I've lived in the Chattanooga area most of my life.I was shocked and heart broken by the senseless killing of 5 military personnel in my home last week.The out poring of support by this town has been unbelievable and heart warming thru out most of the last week.Just when I thought I could not be any prouder of the people of my community today happened.Today they buried SGT David Wyatt in the National Cemetery here in Chattanooga.It was amazing every over pass lined with people showing love and support for one of our fallen soldiers.Every inch of road the funeral traveled in my town lined with hundreds of people showing support.Amazing thing to be witness too.But maybe the most touching thing I've been witness to was still to come.After a long day I came home and started looking at the pictures on noogastrong.Every single exit and overpass that funeral drove past from Nashville to Chattanooga 130 miles was lined with people from the greatest state in this union.Most never knew SGT David Wyatt but showed up Volunteerly to show respect and love to a fallen soilder.I don't think I've ever been prouder of my city or my state than I was today.It was an incredible showing of love and support by people of this great state.

Do your self a favor and go to noogastrong and check it out.It will absolutely choke you up. We live in the most giving loving state in this country.Tennessee is the Volunteer state and it was never on display more than today.

I was able to go to the funeral at the national cemetery after work and see everything there. The support there was amazing and it brought tears to my eyes as I stood there and watched. Sergeant Wyatt wasn't originally from Chattanooga but the family buried him there bc he always said he loved the city. He had an awesome turnout. I have felt very proud to be a Tennesseean and a American over the last 2 weeks. We live in the greatest state in the United States and I'm proud to call it home. I agree with everything you said OP we are the lucky ones. #NOOGASTRONG

+1... We passed underneath each overpass on our way to Murfreesboro last night. And I have no words. I've never seen anything like it. We were choked up for miles.

I thought it was the body of Naval officer Randall Smith that was transported from Nashville to Chattanooga though. Either way, so proud of this state and especially the fallen.
