I had to go back and read that article because of Pacer's comments, just to make sure (because I actually care about this crisis, unlike him).

Once again, it is confirmed that Pacer is a knucklehead and a clown and, in breaking news, may have surpassed Ras in that official capacity. You two really are clowns, and while it griefs me to see how much you hate your own country, there's always a way out. You're welcome to move elsewhere.

I don't think I've ever said those words to another American, but in the case of those two clowns it's true. Just move. Get it over with. It's clear you hate this country, its people, and its history. Go somewhere you'll be happy, where the media is completely uncorrupt yet reports everything the way you want things to apparently be reported. Probably an impossible standard, but perhaps in Russia things like that can happen.

The Russian government is investigating whether safety building standards were violated. I guess the western media should keep that secret rather than taking a "swipe" by reporting the facts.

wait wait wait. you are saying it wasn't lax safety standards that killed the troops? as far as I read, it says 23 killed, 40 or so involved (including the dead) and then at the end mentions that crappy building methods are probably to blame. it doesn't start out hating on Russia, just says there are more dead Russians (summary to start). 23 dead, 40 involved (details) and it was because of crappy methods and lax safety measures that this happened (reasons).

She was previously charged with being an accessory to murder, in relation to the deaths of two Russian TV journalists in a mortar attack in the rebel-held Luhansk area of Ukraine.

and why is Russia punishing this? seems like a warcrime, which this isn't and she wouldn't be responsible for, would go in front of the UN. but the russians won't because they know their case is crap and they are stepping out of their jurisdiction.

three posts before that one was an article relating to Ukraine, and you chose to ignore it, and instead deflect from another deflection. great way to bring it back on topic.

but ask and you shall receive. estimates for the numbers of Russians involved. article also goes into how the support for those troops raises the number considerably
He believes 90,000 troops were required in late 2014 to provide deployments around Ukraine, inside its eastern (rebel held) districts and in Crimea.

I thought it unusual to see gays facing increasing discrimination. Haven't paid close attention to global surveys, and maybe that's happening in a few hardcore Muslim countries, but it seems to be bucking the trend.

Unless I'm mistaken, which I'll gladly admit if so, I think RT still has not addressed the barracks disaster. To be fair, the Russian government has apparently addressed the issue with the Russian people, but RT (which I think is intended more for international propaganda purposes rather than domestic Russian consumption) is still pretending like it never happened. They're going to have to do something soon though; you can't masquerade around as a legitimate news source while ignoring something like that (because it's counter to The Narrative) for too long. Will lose the one quarter of an ounce of respectability it still has.

Getting the thread back on topic while ignoring the questions asked of you, yes, Ukraine is a giant cluster.

It seems that there is much tension between the nation's far right/some soldiers and the Ukrainian government, which is backed by the US.

Apparently the far right/Nazi/whatever you want to call them isn't too pleased by the US-backed Ukrainian govt., which kind of pokes a gigantic hole in the "US is supporting Nazis in Ukraine" narrative that has been attempted.

But, who knows, maybe the US is secretly pitting both sides against one another to keep Ukraine down while completely legitimate freedom fighting factory worker tank commanders hold the fort down in the east and wish for international peace.
