According to an article I read recently on bleacher report or somewhere they didn't even has us in top 5 in sec in pass D for this season.

Had mizz at 5. Uga bama & aub were 2-4 (can't remember the order). Lsu was #1.

With our pass rush & secondary no way mizz will be better than us with all they lost on their dline. And I thought aub's secondary had plenty of question marks.

And that recent 247Sports article had UT's DL ranked as 2nd in the SEC behind Bama and had UGA's DL ranked as 10th. And from what I remember had a low opinion of LSU's DL. Just goes to show how opinions vary and subjective articles are meaningless. We'll know for sure once the season starts. And our DL will definitely be a top 5 defense is my subjective opinion.

Statistically UGA had one of the better passing defense in college football. Run defense was their problem. A lot of that had to do with the fact of not playing against any good QBs.

UGA's DL is average. But their pass rushing OLBs are the best in college football. Floyd, Jenkins, and Lorenzo Carter are all NFL guys with good burst.

Meanwhile, Justin Martin and Preston Williams have added an absurd element of top-end speed. During recent running sessions, Vols players who could run two laps around the field at Neyland Stadium in 90 seconds or less scored rewards for the whole team; it shaved off how many laps everyone had to run. Williams and Martin both completed the task, and the Vols collectively got a bit of a reprieve. Vincent Perry and Malik Foreman also have continued to impress with speed.
