Uniform/Helmet/Shoe design thread (merged)

They beat Mizzou and "handle" Kentucky. Then miss bowl eligibility by a narrow overtime loss to us.

Good luck buddy, good luck.

That guy has a very positive outlook on things. If they score more than 35 in a game all year I will be surprised. Cant run every down

Lol. The "like" thing wasn't meant to be rude. Just given I was pointing out why I disagreed, hitting like seemed counter productive. :hi:

It's all good, man. I'm sure I won't like everything that Nike puts out for us but so far nothing has come out that I have just out and out hated. We'll see if that continues on July 1st.

Yeah, I think I explained better in a later post. I'm not pro or con Nike, I just want as much difference in all gear/fan gear as possible with Texas.. and their orange...and their T.

I might be wrong but I think they got rid of their "T" a few years back.

I think NIKE actually suggested they ditch it.

They use the longhorn logo pretty much exclusively now.

They ceded the Power T for the UT logo in Mississippi River line agreement. They WANT every logo under their control...the one that everyone recognizes and identifies is their Longhorn...they should concentrate on that.

I believe you are right, I've only noticed the horns as of late. There was someone on the Power T is everywhere thread tho, he mentioned walking somewhere in his cap. A couple in the area yelled "yeah, hook'em horns". :disappointed:

Just as much separation as they will give us, that's all I'm asking:yes:

Picked these up today hoping they'll match some Vols gear.

I just noticed your avi, The shirts you and your wife(?) are wearing - Was the color difference that great or the lighting thing? That is one issue I am hoping Nike can solve.

Both were Adidas and my guess is that on my grey shirt, the Tennessee is basically paint as to where her shirt was orange fabric. It's pretty difficult to match that perfectly. Nike will never solve that problem and there will still be 100 different shades of orange Tennessee fan apparel. I personally prefer this style...

Thanks and on the fabric, number of washes also plays a decent factor. Her shirt appears not as worn. :good!:
Edit: On the Nike fix - I was thinking more on the unis. You know, how in the all orange, the pants and jerseys didn't match.

Lighting brah! Lighting on the top torso is always different than the legs of the same body! :yess:

I've got that same Voluteer Traditions shirt on the left... It's a nice shirt with a cool throw back print :good!:

Volunteer Traditions is by far my favorite of the new generation of upstart Southern clothing companies. If you're a Vol fan and haven't checked them out, you owe it to yourself to do that ASAP. They're mildly pricey but make attractive, innovative, quality products and were founded by a UT alum.
