Uniform/Helmet/Shoe design thread (merged)

Every Nike team polo I've seen so far has gray incorporated in them. I don't think it's entirely do to our smoky gray look.

Oh I know it's not. If it was unique for us, I would be more ok with it. But looks like we are just going into the sea of anthracite with everyone else.

For comparison... maybe a little too similar?

I hope in real lighting that the difference in oranges is very pronounced. For whomever made the " standard Nike" comment, I understand but I just don't care about schools that don't have a version of orange.. And Texas has the whole beginning with a T thing also. Nike needs to differ the two greatly or we need to become 49 states. I'm fine with either.

This appears to me... Compared to this other Nike jersey w a mesh collar... To suggest there are orange collars on the away jerseys featuring white power T's.

Sorry, I hit like by accident. You could get a great idea of what else is coming by looking at Texas gear. I just did and switching the horns for the T seems to be their grand plan. They even have the white one also.

Thanks for accidentally hitting like. There haven't been any real leaks and this appears to be the coaches polo which is always the same for every team anyway. But yes, typically a lot of the apparel is similar across all schools, as it is with every company. Some that are school specific and some that are a generic template.

Lol. The "like" thing wasn't meant to be rude. Just given I was pointing out why I disagreed, hitting like seemed counter productive. :hi:

Here's my season prediction:

Week 1- WKU: The Thursday night curse ends as Vanderbilt moves past Western Kentucky 52-35. The game is tight at half, but the WKU defense falls apart in the second half. Free queso for all!

Week 2- Georgia: It isn't an embarrassment, but we are clearly not the better team. 42-21 Dawgs.

Week 3- Austin Peay: 44-0 in one that is never in doubt.

Week 4- @Ole Miss: We strangely go into the locker room down just 10-7 after an ugly first half. But, Freeze motivates the team, and we lose 38-14.

Week 5- @MTSU: It's a close, hard fought game, but we survive 33-30 in overtime in Murfreesboro.

Week 7- @SC: In what is one of our best chances for a conference win, we turn in one of our worst outings of the season and lose 38-13 to the Gamecocks.

Week 8- Missouri: It is a brutal, physical game. Missouri leads 14-10 with Vandy getting the ball with 1:30 left in the game. On 4th & Goal with 5 seconds left, Webb runs the ball into the endzone from three yards out for the game winning score. The homecoming crowd storms the field for the end of the conference losing streak. 17-14 'Dores!

Week 9- @Houston- After beating Mizzou, talk begins to swirl of the Commodores becoming bowl-eligible with two more wins, most easily Houston and Kentucky. However, the team overlooks them a bit and falls 27-17 on Halloween.

Week 10- @Florida- The Gators are much improved and want revenge for 2013 in the Swamp. They overpower our Commodores 38-10, bringing the season to a best-of-three against conference opponents for bowl eligibility.

Week 11- Kentucky- On a beautiful early November afternoon, the Commodores handle the Wildcats 28-14 for win number 5.

Week 12- Texas A&M- Wanting to ensure bowl eligibility before the rivalry game, Vandy gets off to a 17-0 lead on the Aggies before falling 41-24 in front of a sold-out Dudley Field.

Week 13- @Tennessee- With the season on the line, Vanderbilt plays a much better Tennessee team in a close game that heads to overtime knotted at 24. However, an interception dooms us in a 27-24 loss to end the season 5-7.

They beat Mizzou and "handle" Kentucky. Then miss bowl eligibility by a narrow overtime loss to us.

Good luck buddy, good luck.
