I don't agree! What's the difference in him posting that pic as opposed to him in a Dixie outfitters tee shirt with the rebel flag on it?

People get fired for posting stupid stuff on Facebook all the time. With all that's going on he's a complete idiot for doing that and deserves to be fired on the basis of stupidity.

They also changed their on-field mascot in 2003. Many people assoiciated with the university have stated that their inability to consistently recruit on the level of other SEC programs is closely tied to their confederate image.

I know the stories of Ole Miss and Tubberville's complaints, doesn't change the fact that many a black athlete have made their way to Oxford. An overwhelming number from MS.

The Changing of the mascot took place during Cutcliffe's reign. The changes being proposed in the article posted are from 2014. Hard to pin it all on Tubberville.

As for black athletes choosing to attend Ole Miss, I give them just as much extra consideration as you do the white southerners that are saying it's time to do away with the flag.

So what? There's no difference in flying the flag in your yard for everyone to see is there? Does that constitute losing employment?

I do think the whole hysteria over the flag is way over the top. With this guy being a cop.... A public servant and member of a public police force.... He should know better than to bring that kind of attention upon himself and the police force he works for. He's a moron.... And if I was his employer I'd fire him for being such a huge one.

He had that right and the employer has the right to kick him to the curb..... He's not a teacher or something akin to herpes that you can't get rid of no matter what.
