With MTSU already considering to rename Forrest Hall it'll be interesting to see what happens in Chapel Hill, TN where the public school is named Forrest School. Chapel Hill is Forrest's hometown so maybe they won't cave as easily as others in the state.

I think I read where the pentagon was going to leave it up to the individual branches of the military.

I remember Knoxville Catholic, after Columbine, changed from "Fighting Irish" to just "Irish".

Nobody actually cared.

Insititutions will distance themselves from controversy. It isn't worth it to keep "Fighting" in the nickname for KCHS and it won't be worth it to keep allusions to the Confederacy.

Now, personally, this is a Rebel I can rally behind:
