Cheating Under Rick Barnes

Isn't that like saying it's 50/50 that there is a 50% chance of rain somewhere tomorrow?
That's 1:1 odds. What are your odds that we beat 500? 2:1 or 1:2? I'll make an exception and you can pick how many games we win. You'll be on the record. Just giving you some breathing room with the odds deal. Calban called it right on the money last year.

I think we finish with a similar record as last year. We return 5 of our top 6 scorers, but the one loss is a giant loss IMO, and I think a lot of our fanbase underestimates its effect.

Much will be determined in how quickly Turner and Kasongo develop. They are the biggest additions at our two weakest spots on the floor, so there acclimation period needs to be greatly accelerated. Jabari McGhee needs to step in immediately to help in the post, and improve both his defensive discipline, and his FT shooting.

Still, someone has to step up in the post and become a legitimate scoring threat, and our perimeter players need to become more consistent shooters.

I just don't know if all that can happen overnight. People predicting 20 or more wins are shooting for the moon IMO. 16 wins is most likely, 18 is slightly overachieving, and anymore than that is an outstanding coaching effort IMO. Our OOC schedule is tough this year (at GT, at Butler, Gonzaga {in Seattle}, at TCU, potential neutral site game vs Cincinnati in Barclays Classic).

I'd love to be underselling their potential though, and with so many newcomers and unanswered questions, it's tough to say with certainty that they can't exceed my expectations.

We seem to be in agreement. Like I said on another post. Even ETSU Will be a tough out with Forbes coaching and their giant frontline.

Hopefully Barnes & Hart will back down the NCAA

while I think its probably nothing major our Athletic Department is on the outside looking in. We are totally dependent on the NCAA and the former employer. Former employers tend to try to throw its former employees under the bus if the employer can skate. Steve Patterson is one of the last people I would want to trust.

Well said! I would much rather undersell the immediate future and end up being pleasantly surprised than over selling it and be disappointed!

Hilarious watching someone who was so adamant that our former coach was fine while the fire was raging all around him is trying to drum up that our current coach is in trouble when there has barely been a sniff of smoke.

And if Roy Williams has come out saying he's not been named in the allegations at UNC, I'm not going to sweat that Barnes is going to get in any trouble over this.

Keep coming back to the head coach is responsible for everything that happens in his program now. DT has maintained his stance that things will clear up when he speaks. If someone else did something, RB takes the hit just like DT. You can't sugarcoat it.

Not if it was prior to that rule being installed he doesn't, that's why Boeheim is still employed and Tyndall isn't.

You need to make up your mind. With DT, you're saying he's going to clear his name and maintain he did nothing wrong; but with Barnes you're trying to act like it was his fault because he was the head coach and the buck stops with him.

Besides your alter ego, who else actually liked this post?

Seriously?

I don't know who you are referring to, however, I am not the one who has hit the "like button" concerning the new Texas investigation. Are you able to see through the internet? I don't believe so! Some of your posts are totally asinine!

I gave you some likes in the thread about "Detrick Mostella was going to transfer if CDT stayed".

When someone makes a comment that I agree with, then I hit "like", and if I don't like it, then I post my opposing view. If I am neutral, then I go to the next post!

When it comes to investigations, it is my belief that if there is one going on, people who know nothing about it should stay quiet and let the investigators finish their work. SD's post was just an update as to what is going on at Texas and your boyfriend has yet to be charged with any wrongdoing, so don't get your skirt all in a wad! I guess it's too late for that, since it's been that way ever since Hart fired Tyndall and you are as giddy as a middle school girl.

I wish you guys would get off of this kick about Buzz and I being the same person. It is pretty dumb to think that two people could not have similar opinions as opposed to yours. Let's see if we can clear this up for you. Buzz joined in March of 2013 and has 381 posts, 2 months before I came onboard. I have 3400 posts and joined in May that same year. Buzz just started making more comments recently. Maybe he retired or something. Anyway, I do not double post. I seriously doubt if he does either. Why would I want to do that? Maybe some of you diehards with opposing views do. I've never seen the need. I am perfectly capable of fighting my own battles and so is Buzz.
