2015 NBA Finals Thread

You're not being objective. You're looking at stats and making assumptions. It's what you do.

There is nothing assumptive about saying league average is X and Lebron is below X. It's 100% objective.

Problem is, league average players aren't even remotely capable of doing what he's doing. In fact, I'm not sure there is a single player capable of doing what he's doing.

There's only so much a guy can do, he's running the entire offense on his own, being guarded by elite defenders who have been allowed to hack him with impunity. he has one consistent offensive player along side him in Mosgov, most of his baskets are a product of LeBron setting him up. There's nothing else around him. And since your a stat guy, you should know that GS led the NBA in defensive efficiency.

Where's the stat that accounts for all that? You operate in the margins with your adulation of statistics, you should consider context from time to time.

All that is fine. I agree he is carrying a load that you couldn't ask most any player to carry, but that doesn't make his performances "incredible". There is nothing incredible about missing 23 of 34 shots, regardless of how on your own you are.

What your point means to me is that he has a valid excuse for not being incredible.

Well you hyped it up to be more, i was definitely disappointed. Had that dude in the wife beater threw the kid in a buggy and rolled his ass down the aisle or something it would have been a lot better.

Not everyday do you see the amazing footage that I posted.

If golden state comes out flat again tonight I could see them crumbling. I can also see them returning to form to win the next 3 games.

I was worried about GS being inexperienced. I love best of 7 series because we get to be stupid and jabber nonsense at least 4 times.

Usually I think it'd be fair to criticize LeBrons inefficiency.

Then you look and see JR Smith and Matthew Dellevedova played a combined 70 minutes Sunday and it's kind of silly.

I have a friend who is the biggest Lebron hater (AKA Lakers fan) and he's trying to argue that this team isn't bad at all and he is singing Delly's praises.

I'm not criticizing him for being inefficient, I'm just saying he's inefficient.

He just averaged 42-12-9 against the best defensive team in the league, at their place where they were 47-2, stole home court back from them, and could very well have been up 2-0. And he did it with a lineup that without him would be a lottery team.

But it's not incredible because he isn't shooting 50%.. Oh ok.

Their D is pretty good, their offense is painful to watch. If they slip defensively at all, it could get ugly fast for them. Going to be funny when Steph drops 35 on Dellavehobos head tonight.

This.

At least Huff is being consistent on this. I think LBJ is looking like AI in Karl Malone's body right now.
