A few years ago? More like 2 weeks ago they said Texas was in a permanent drought

The liberal media was touting this chick like she was preaching the gospel two weeks ago

Great news. California hurricanes will alleviate their drought. Love it.
Not sure how you got that from this
An active Pacific storm season could bring intense rains to the U.S. Southwest, with states like Arizona, New Mexico, and the western part of Texas most likely to see the remnants of hurricanes that develop off the coast of Mexico.

Unfortunately, drought-plagued California is unlikely to see those rains. “Those storms tend to track east, so it probably won’t help the drought in California,” Masters said. California has seen a few tropical storms in the past — one in the 1800s and one in 1939 — so while such an event is possible, Masters pointed out that “we have no skill to predict those kinds of things.”
Nonetheless, Hopes rise for a strong El Niño to ease California drought

California really needs the El Nino to last through winter, which is looking increasingly likely.

Strengthening El Nino fuels Earth’s warmest first 4 months on record

.......... “we have no skill to predict those kinds of things.”

How you could find any sort of prognostication in that is the real question.

NASA told me this drought would be the beginning of a Mega Drought lasting decades. Also normally droughts last for a few years. The Dust Bowl and other droughts in the 30s lasted over a decade

The article pointed out that hurricanes in California are extremely rare, and you concluded "Hooray! Hurricanes for California!"

...

From your article:

. “we have no skill to predict those kinds of things.”

No NASA didn't. Droughts last as long as there is a moisture deficit, which varies. No they didn't, and your own sentence reflects that by referring to multiple droughts in a single decade lasting for decades. It doesn't make sense.
