A must win for the capitals tonight or it's going to be another same predictable chokejob.
Since some capital player predicted a win it'll be egregious if the capitals lose.
Alex is a amazing player but if he doesn't get a NHL title he'll go down as a great nhl player without a title.

If he says the generic 'try our best' crap they say he's not confident.

When you make a game 7 prediction win your putting yourself out there. Not if he can back it up.

The capitals should have eliminated the rangers in the last 2 games that's why this is such a big deal as they have blown leads 9 times in the playoffs most ever in nhl history.

The capitals need to step up or they'll continue to be a Indy colts kind of team in the playoffs.

A capitals player made a guarantee of winning game 7 which is putting a bullseye on you, and making a hard task 10 times harder.

When you write checks you don't cash you'll become a magnet for mockery besides just losing in the playoffs.



Capitals are notorious for choking in the playoffs so to guarantee a win including one on the road is 10 stars unwise.

That seems as wise as the bills to guarantee a win in the Super Bowl which would be laughable given they're the only team to go 4 straight Super Bowls and lose all 4 of them.
When your team's resume has a history of choking making guarantees that fail will add to the humiliation.

I find it hard to believe that him guaranteeing a victory made it harder for the Caps to win.

Ok doesn't change it's a utterly unwise move given that the capitals are notorious for choking with their resume.

You want to add to the humiliation make a guarantee win prediction that doesn't happen so this team will be mocked as worse than the others given that no other player on the past teams were unwise enough to make a guarantee win in a major game.
