No, you said "many" were trigger happy. So I asked you to back up that claim. And I said I knew they existed. I've worked with a few that were overzealous. However, I stop well short of calling "many" trigger happy and asked you to provide the basis of that ambiguous number you're tossing around.

And, in your typical fashion, you can't back up your "many" claim. I'm not sure why I expected you to be different in this thread. My bad.

I've answered your question(s) about psychological testing and how many officers are trigger happy. I can counter your argument all day long by offering examples of your own profession. Just like I did with CDY a while back.

Of course, he's smarter than you are by admitting I brought some valid points to the table. And I'd be all about discussing the matter with him more since he was fairly level headed about it. You, on the other hand, just don't know when to stop when you're well behind.

What answers did you give about pyschological testing? You laughed when I said when should test people before giving them a gun. Was that your eloquent answer?

When did I say "many"?

You're a special kinda dumb aren't you lol

And you want me to back up where I perceive that many, many officers are "trigger happy" "loose cannons" who should have never been given a gun? You act as if you've never meet one of these people.

You laugh at the suggestion of screening people before handing them a gun, and then you claim it's alright to let psychopaths be cops as long as they haven't shot anyone yet?

Are you trolling or just a complete idiot?

I never laughed at the suggestion of screening people. Even provided you evidence that screening takes place. And even had someone who doesn't take my side of the matter come in and say he knew someone that failed multiple screenings that he felt would have made a good cop.

And I guess you never hear of blowhards do you? You know for a fact this guy watched family members get murdered in front of his eyes? Or that he was counseled for being too rough?

No, nobody ever makes up stories to make themselves seem tougher than they really are. Never been to a bar where a patron gets in their cups and starts talking about how Rambo they were in the military? You think that's limited to just the military world? Of course, you'll accept his story at face value since it supports your pathetic weak theory. Do you honestly think something like that is going to slip by a department psychologist? You don't think there are some significant screenings involved in law enforcement?

You really are a special kind of stupid.

For a teacher, your reading comprehension sucks...

Your response to my statement about screening people before giving them guns was "lulz".

I was lulz-ing at the statement of psychologically analyzing everyone in the military before handing them a weapon.

You got to sit in your comfy ICC, but failed to remember everyone in the military is (and should be) capable of bearing a weapon when the need arises.

So get those 2 million psychological screening tests ready. Or even more when you count the IRR.

We should. And being able to use a gun doesn't make someone crazy. Let's not act like we truly need pyscho paths in the military

Grand vols thoughts on cops:

It's alright if they're completely insane and work with the public and have a gun....as long as they've not killed anyone yet.

If you'd answered this question when I first asked it you could have saved both of us valuable time. But you wanted to get your feelings hurt and ***** for 30 minutes first.

Oh, you silly teacher. My feelings aren't hurt. You just as easily could have Googled it like I did. But somehow your fingers can't find the right keys. You assumed (but didn't make an ass out of anyone but yourself) that no screening took place and sat there kind of smug thinking you had gotten me.

Far from it slick.

And I asked you in comparison how many teachers are screened. What's more likely? You meet a trigger happy cop that shoots you down without cause or a hear about a teacher in the local schools rapes an underage child?

Now would be the time you bow out of the conversation since you really aren't helping the opposition in this thread. I'd like to discuss it rationally, but I'm not sure you have the equipment to do so...

When did I assume that no screening took place? I asked a question.

Tell that to the families from Ft hood.

So one person...with privately owned weapons.

And you do realize that most doctors don't carry weapons in the military? They have the option, but that damn Hippocratic Oath keeps getting in the way...

Nice straw man

Nice straw man

All military and police officers should be screened. It's not a straw man at all. It's a basic safety issue which you prefer to laugh at and make statements like:

"He hasn't killed anyone yet".

Turn your sarcasm meter on there slick.

You asked a question thinking you knew the answer in advance. You believed (wrongly) that screening didn't take place. You can deny it all you want, but it's not like you don't have a history of making statements thinking you are right and not being able to back them up when confronted. Your original post on the matter:

The problem is the type of people the career attracts.

Are any psychological evaluations done prior to hiring police officers?

Implied that there was a distinct lack of screening. Something that took me all of about nine seconds to look up on Google to find the answer.

You got caught. Of course you can deny it all you want, but I know where you were going with it. You kind of learn to read between the lines as a cop and figure out the hidden meanings of what people say.

Silly guy. You think I'm the dumbest person around.

I implied that crazy people were attracted to the career. Any other assumptions were yours alone.

I asked the question, because I don't believe whatever testing being done is effective. Their still seems to be some slipping through the cracks.

Yet you have nothing to back up your claim that it is or is not effective...

You've seen people who slipped through that shouldn't have. I've seen people. Their are countless news paper stories about these people. I wouldn't call that nothing.

Continue to wallow in your ignorance 8188, I'm going to talk to Dink about dogs. Probably a more fulfilling conversation.

Continue to get your panties in a wad anytime someone asks a question about cops. I'm going to walk my dogs.
