Inarguably?

No disrespect to GFW, as I am glad for his posts and what he brings, but I believe OrangeVenom is batting 1.000

Or basically, GFW gets his info from a secondary source (AD). OV gets his directly from the recruits

2 great sources, thankful for both...was thinking GFW boasts a similar track record.

Probably need to cut you some slack since you're kind new around here.....GFW, just so you know, is inarguably the most reliable "insider" we have on here....works inside the athletic dept or over at Thornton (can't recall which). He's gonna get a helluva lot more benefit of the doubt on here than some newbie shelling out 10 bucks a month for an online subscription to Rivals....Believe that.

Hambooger apparently doesnt realize that rivals gets Rutgers fans to pay by posting tantalizing tidbits on the Rutgers rivals front page.

Rivals final scouting report on the QB Challenge.

"Performance: Guarantano took home the "Rocket Arm" award and it really wasn't even that close of a contest. Every time he hit a target, it jumped backwards. Guarantano had the best footwork of any quarterback in the rollout drills, looking eerily similar to Colin Kaepernick of the San Francisco 49ers. He was also very accurate when throwing to the opposite sideline and threw a consistent deep ball."

I don't seem to recall him ever dropping a:

:)

And be wrong. Just sayin'...

Smileys never lie. :hi::dance2:

Agree. I'm thinking that once GFW drops in with a😊 or a 😀, or maybe even a 😉, that it's pretty much all over but the crying. Honestly don't ever recall him being wrong. That being said, I tend to hang on OVs every post during crunch time as well. Just glad to have both those go-to guys "on staff"....

Including when the words come out of the recruit's mouth on video? LOL. Lay off the moonshine.

Since you directed the "moonshine" reference to me I will tell you that, yes, I have had a few drinks of moonshine and good shine is better than bonded whiskey. Since you apparently live near the Hamburg Turnpike in New Jersey it's my guess you've never had a sip of said moonshine. You should try it. As far as what a recruit says to a sports media or recruiting service guy you would be smart to take it with a grain of salt because recruits play them like a fiddle and in some cases tell them what they think they want to hear. The good sources on VN either have direct contact with recruits or with someone in the AD.
By the way, you need to stay off the Turnpike, I've heard that Farrell said it's really dangerous.

@SwainEvent: Just watched THREE plays of Guarantano's HUDL film... Thats it .. 3 plays... SIGN HIM NOW. #Stud
I was thinking the same exact thing, when I first saw his highlight reel. Didn't even have to watch half of it to conclude this kid is special. As much as I like Dormady, Jennings and Jones, I was more impressed with Guarantano's tape than any QB I've seen in a long time. Definitely more than Gibson's, last year.

I was like.....

Ok bUT the fact remains he is wrong. He said he hadn't heard JG named Rutgers his leader, which is comical because not only did JG say it himself at the Rivals camp this weekend but the headline declaring it was splashed all over rivals whether one had a premium account or not. The "fail" in this case lies at the feet of Mr. Insider.

You got a pass on comment 1... everybody gets one mulligan... but then you pour some stupid on top of the stupid from earlier, so I'm gonna do you a solid.

There are 5-6 guys who have REAL info on here. I'm not gonna name them all off bc I'm sure I will miss someone but GFW and Orange Venom are a couple. You'd probably be best served by just keepin your eyes open and mouth shut until you know your way around.

But back to Guarantano, it's pretty cool he saw what Swain said and retweeted it.

It seems to be just a matter of time 'til we got another good one. :)

Somebody must be grumpy today, I hope it isn't Jarret Guarantano and I hope he commits to us really soon! He good, he real good. Apparently a good guy too, who stands up for what is right. Just the kind of man that Butch wants on the team. :)

To clear the air:

I do not claim to be on a personal level with any recruit. Occasionally I do meet some of these guys but that is not the norm. I get 95% of my info from players, coaches, staff, etc who float in and out. I do not and will not ever state an opinion I have as "inside info" and when I do, I make it clear it is MY opinion not something I've heard through the grapevine. ive been on the outside and I always appreciated any kind of inside info or tips that true insiders brought to this board and other boards, hence why I do the same. I know people appreciate it. It isn't for any kind of self gratification on a football discussion forum lol. I'm not going to discuss this again, as I have in the past, and I'm sure the mods are tired of dealing with cleaning up threads that get sidetracked due to the nonsense. i appreciate all the work freak and the mods have done for this site as its a huge hobby and daily part of my life. We're all rooting for the same Pantone 151-clad Volunteers here, GBO.

I know its hard, but let's try really hard to not run off actual insiders this time.

SHHHH!!!!!!! We cannot talk about that any longer. :hi: People around these parts get upset.

Back to Jarret Guarantano, I really like the Colin Kaepernick comparison. If we see anything like that out of him, I'll take it in a heartbeat. :good!:

How did the visit go?

"He left this morning. We will be trying to catch up with him today but we've heard the visit went very well."

Just watched his hudl again... 3rd or 4th highlight is a 50 yard strike right on the money, and it didn't appear to be much more than a flick of the wrist.

He's gonna be a good one. The Butch train just keeps on rollin'.
