Got some info today my buddy who i work with is related to Mallett by inlaws anyways i heard that he is interested in Tennessee as i also learned he has withdrawn from Michigan and is looking at 5 schools with Tenn being in the mix, the other schools include Texas A&M, Rutgers, UCLA and possibly Florida St. i also heard that he might try to follow his QB coach. I dont know if Tenn is looking at his coach but if they are it would be a great possiblity he could come here.

We interviewed his QB coach for that same position at UT.

And numerous reports had him interested in Arky also.

Why go to Arky? They lose everyone, and have an idiot for a coach, who won't be there more than 2 years

Mallet doesnt want to go to Arkansas unless his QB coach goes. I hope we can get this guy.

I'd rather he stay away. We already have 3 guys, and I would rather let one of them develop. Mallet would have to sit out anyways, and I think one of our guys could be better.

But he could redshirt i believe its always good to have a 6'7 QB with a cannon of an arm.

I don't know why, I was simply passing on that he'd shown interest aside from the people he'd listed. I think he has family there.

I don't want Ryan Mallett. Probably a good kid, just not interested. We have two local kids to play QB over the next 4 years and I'd prefer that to someone who didn't even consider us the first time around.

He's got the physical attributes. But how is he mentally? We don't need to be falling all over ourselves praising some guy with height and a strong arm that doesn't have any football instincts.

well im willing to take that chance, but that's me and i'm not a Tenn Coach.

What chance? That your leader and QB doesn't care about the T on their helmet? No thanks, I think we've had and still have plenty of those kinda guys.

But it isn't good to have someone who completes 40 percent of his passes and has a QB rating of 105 in the awful Big 10 conference.

Here is the words your looking for "raw talent". He was very impressive in the army all star game last year. He easily outplayed the overhyped youngest clausen.

Crompton and Coleman... give these guys a shot. They're local and bleed orange.

I remember his play in that game... very impressive. But we have some local QB's on the team that bleed orange.

I dont think that if he wants to come to Tennessee he would be one of those guys, so you're telling me we dont need him or you would'nt want him wearing the orange? I think that's just ludacris(not the rapper) the other 2 guys Crompton and Coleman would hafta compete it just would'nt be his job right off and if we could redshirt him he would have 3 years of elgiblity left.

Yes, I'm saying I don't want him. Crompton and Coleman will be fine, and as I stated, I'll take my chances with talented local kids instead of a guy who thought he was too good for UT the first time. Both of those guys wanted to be Vols from the get, and this guy would be coming out of necessity, nothing more.

Once again, no thank you.
