Yup. Its not that uncommon for a school to not take a QB. I believe at least 3 SEC schools didn't take one in 2015. Butch and company struck out in 2014 with a class of 30+.

Struck out or opted out? I believe it's the latter after the top 2 on the board were gone.

After that they didn't settle just to take a QB. They filled other positions of greater need at the time and come home strong in '15 IMO.

You can respond without quoting...makes it easier to stop responding altogether.

In his world, if another school does something it's ok but if Butch does it he is the devil.

They had offered over a dozen QBs. You can believe they "opted out". Imo they struck out after taking the 2 Elite 11 guys in the previous class.

Then hit a 3 run homer the next year! Gotta like that batting average!

Interested if this visit happens after Kendall is visiting this weekend. If he re-affirms his commitment to the coaches, then I expect JG to cancel his visit.

Maybe if it were October. I think this early you continue to recruit anybody with interest as long as they're interested. Just my opinion.

I agree. Gotta keep recruiting. Assure Austin he's our guy, but still show the love to other top QBs. We will gladly let him visit!

Just saw his junior highlight reel, and was like....

However, the next month or so will be used to get to know other programs better, and it will begin with a March 21 trip to Tennessee.

“I’m going to spend two or three days there,” Guarantano said. “I’m going to get to talk to the new offensive coordinator, coach (Mike) DeBord, and go over some offensive concepts and stuff.”

Scout

Said UT, Rutgers, and Ohio St are standing out currently
