this is a very true statement. More UT fans probably get on Volnation, in a single day, than Vandy can get to show up to all a home game this last season.

while it might be impossible to know how many fans of theirs actually showed up to games i came up with a 19,576 number for their average fan attendance. (total home attendance x 50% (figure between the SEC games and the Old Dominion's the average percentage of the # of fans was around 50% Vandy) / 7 (number of home games including the one in LP).

hilarious seeing these mic'd up videos from the VUcoaching staff. Their fans are drooling over this stuff. Saying masons "overall body language" is looking improved haha. Hes really got the "energy" back from the players. Reminds me of last July when he was claiming there would be an SEC East title for them. Pronouncing his intentions to drag opponents to "deep water". Then they got blown out to Temple during a monsoon haha.

i was going to do something similar but found this wikipedia page. Tennessee

When the rivalry first started, Vanderbilt went 19–2–3 against Tennessee. Since 1928, Tennessee has gone 72–11–2 against Vanderbilt.

If the times line up me and a crew of UT fans are going to watch us slaughter Bowling Green and then head to Vandy to watch them get beat by Western KY. Just need the games to happen at different times.

Hilltoppers got a serious shot to win that game. Bringing back their entire offense basically that averaged 44ppg. Their defense was bad but they return all of those guys and they were pretty young. Plus Vandys offense is garbage.

I may actually spend more energy pulling for them to beat Vandy 87-0 than I do for Tennessee to thump BG.....nah, but it'll be damn close.

Houston will beat the hell out of Vandy as well. They'll get revenge for the Birmingham Bowl.

i think so too. Houston has some athletes and they get alot of transfers from big power 5 schools. I think they have the better team right now and the game is in their stadium.

it might have been said here but even Franklin only finished 4/14 (or something like that) against FBS teams with end of the year winning records. not great for their best ever coach

I put Franklin at Vandy up there with Art Guepe,Steve Sloan and Bobby Johnson.

Their Washington Generals-esque spring practice aside, there is some serious sunshine-pumping going on over at Vandymania. Several are saying it's time to stop giving away their season tickets because the program has clearly turned a corner.

Vanderbilt will win at least 2 SEC games this coming season!! I believe and expect our team will show DRAMATIC IMPROVEMENT! The new additions to the staff,CDM, and our players are working extremely hard to make sure they will be more prepared mentally and physically! Have some faith people, my Vanderbilt family WILL BE AT EVERY HOME GAME AGAIN THIS SEASON TO SUPPORT VANDERBILT! These players deserve our support and all of these negative posts serve no purpose, CDM is our Head Coach and will continue to be until VANDERBILT DECIDES HE ISN'T. IF our players can show respect to CDM as their head coach, we should too!

Blackman High School could probably give Vandy all they want. Vandymania will be getting a lot of mileage off of their only win against Austin Peay in 2015.

He was wildly successful only within the prism of the history of Vandy football, which is a pathetic history. If one analyzes his record/wins he sees a record built on a house of cards. It was smoke and mirrors.

at least 2? they are behind everyone else and falling further behind. even if vandy did win an SEC game it would be more the other team losing than Vandy winning ala U Mass

This guy's obviously on drugs:

Never thought about giving up my tickets. I'm all in and even upped my Commodore Club membership a small amount.

Was I disappointed last year, hell yeah, but I choose to support these student athletes and the school and as long as they do it the right way.

I enjoy the college atmosphere, tailgating and winning. We don't always win the game but we always win the tailgate.

One of the best entertainment values in town.
