The Official NASCAR Talk Thread

Nobody forces them onto the track. Do we need to go over risk/reward again?

We get it. You'll relentlessly defend every stupid ass decision NASCAR makes on the grounds of risk/reward.

They just come off looking disingenuous when they claim to care about cutting back on excessive costs to make the sport viable for teams other than the 3-4 car super teams, yet at the same time they implement a qualifying method that virtually guarantees multiple cars get destroyed before the green flag ever flies. It's ****ing retarded.

NASCAR hasnt driven a single car in any qualifying session or practice session the entire week.

Don't want to wreck your car? How about you don't drive it like an idiot.

No, you're right, it's just that simple. Don't drive like an idiot. Obviously no other factors are in play when 20-30 other cars are all within a second of one another during a qualifying session.

You might have had a point if they hadn't gone almost 70 laps (so far) in this race withouth a caution. But they did, so you don't.

Because biding your time riding along in the early stages of a 120 lap Busch race is EXACTLY the same as one all or nothing lap trying to qualify for the Daytona 500. Ironclad logic if I've ever heard it.

And there it is. The 'I've lost the arguement so I'm going to put words into your mouth' post.

I haven't lost a damn thing. You've delighted in watching cars wreck in qualifying for almost a week now, and I'm almost 100% sure everyone else in this thread aside from you was in agreement that this type of qualifying was terrible on multiple levels.

I don't recall having ever said I enjoy or take delight in wrecks. Care to link the post?

Can you find the vidoe to the accident during ARCA qualifying? I not seen it yet and I need something to cheer me up.

That was a ridiculous wreck with Mike Wallace and the Dillon kid. NASCAR really needs to quit with the group red flagging on super speedways.

I'll go ahead and say. I don't think Kyle races tomorrow.

Edit: probably not for a while. He looks to have a serious injury

The lack of SAFER barriers on any wall that surrounds the racing surface is something that is actually worth complaining about until the series and/or the tracks do something about it.
