I'm a big fan of both JG and Kendall. JG is the better athlete and Kendall the better thrower but neither is very far from the other in those categories either. JG can sling it too and Kendall can run. Bottom line I'm cool and excited about either one.

Throwing more INTs than TDs the last two seasons at the HS level makes me think he's got a long way to go. I'm also not sure I'd call JG the better ATH either. Their rushing stats are not even close. AK did much more damage.

The staff has Guarantano at the top of their QB board, according to Adam Friedman. Paul Fortenberry has suggested that also. If you watch his junior film, he looks like a faster Jameis Winston to me. Not kidding. There's one play where he dives into the end zone from about 5 yards out after running by the entire defense. And he throws several bombs nearly flat footed around 55 yards. Very effortless like Kendall but better mechanics and definitely a dual threat.

Zero question to me that he's the preference for 2016. There's a reason Urban wants him badly. I still think he picks Rutgers, which means we may make Kendall upset and lose out on them both. Hopefully not.

Lol. Have you watched his film??? I'll try to help you out. His Rivals Jr. season film is ridiculous. He's 1000% more athletic than Kendall. Wow.

If he will solidly commit, take him. I guarantee he's the higher rated QB by signing day vs Austin Kendall. Very impressed.

Also notice how much better his mechanics are than AK. His arm is as good as AK, and his wheels are Mariota like.

I wonder why Butch took Kendall 7 months ago if there was no debate? Odd.

Highlights are good to look at. AK rushed for like 2-3x the yards JG did. Also more YPC. He could very well be the better ATH. I'd just like to see a little more to support it.

Possibly. Imo I see a lot of TG in JG skills wise. He could develop into a great one. Imo Its a roll of the dice.

The way I see it playing out is JG to Rutgers, AK flips, and Butch goes after Oden. Wallace may end up in the discussion as well.

Uh JG only played in 7 games. AK played in 14 I believe. JG averaged liked 80 yards per game rushing lol. Did you watch the highlights? They aren't just nice to look at. It's visual evidence of his athleticism. AK doesn't compare.

Look for Rivals100 QB Jarrett Guarantano to visit Tennessee and Ohio State (in that order) within the next couple of weeks.

Some believed Guarantano was close to committing to Rutgers after visiting two times in three days but a commitment will not happen until he visits both Tennessee and Ohio State again.

Guarantano is on the phone with Mike DeBord as well as Urban Meyer and Tim Beck (OSU co-OC) almost every night.

Ohio State is still considered the leader but I've been told that "Rutgers closed the gap between them and Ohio State significantly" but he wants to give each school their chance to make their case before committing.

Tennessee is in a little bit of a weird position here because Austin Kendall is committed to the Vols. I think Guarantano isn't saying where the Vols stand out of respect for Kendall's committed to Tennessee. However I do think Tennessee has a very good shot with Guarantano but it all depends on how his visit goes and if his meeting with DeBord goes well.

The stats posted earlier didn't show 80 yards a game, even if he played in 7. Kendall had 519 and JG was well short of that. If...If the stats posted were accurate.

If JG picks Rutgers, I think we screwed ourselves with Kendall. He's going to feel like our booty call that saw us going on dates with a better looking girl.

You posted saying JG is going to visit UT in the next few weeks. If he shows up the 28th when Kendall is also visiting, that could be a disaster IMO.

I don't think they'd do that lol. He's supposed to come before spring. I bet he comes the first w/e in March. Then OSU after that. Will announce in March or April.

I don't care who we get at QB because we are in on many good QBs. Bring one in who you like and then groom him to be the guy late on down the line.

64% completion. 1,200 yards passing, 14 passing td. 5 rushing td, nearly 80 yards rushing per game in 7 games.

7 total turnovers including int and fumbles lost. Not sure how much of each. But if you double those stats for 14 games he'd have about 2,500 passing 28 passing td, 10 rushing td with around 1,200 rushing yards.

Not sure who posted the fake stats, but those are from official records and his film statistics.

The passing stats came from maxpreps and 247. I actually went to check maxpreps before commenting. The passing stats were posted by a couple people and all had him throwing more INTs than TDs. I couldn't find rushing numbers for 2014 for JG and posted that. Then someone came in with the stats I mentioned. His 2013 rushing stats(247) seemed to confirm what the person posted. In 2013 he had 56 attempts for 42 yards. Of course that may have included sacks.

Those stats are not correct; definitely not anywhere near definitive proof. In his highlight video alone, it shows more than 9 TD passes from his Jr. season (I think I counted 12). The stats from HUDL are based on his accumulated stats from all 7 games, as reported by his district. MaxPreps is not a good source for stats because they are reported from various sources.
