At the risk of getting bashed for being "radical"/"backwards"/"unrealistic"/"a prude", and at the risk of being the instigator of a thread derail....

....perhaps if people followed God's Will of abstinence until marriage, many if not all of these rape/assault allegations would stop.

Exactly this. Was going to say it, but didn't want to start a debate over religion.

Don't post a lot, but I wanted to add this to the discussion. I think a lot of these issues on college campuses stem from our countries unwillingness to confront drinking. Most kids grow up and don't understand alcohol, nor do they have the experience or seen individuals approach alcohol responsibly. So they get to college and start to drink and it takes them a good while to find their limits as well as to understand whats responsible and what's not. Couple that with the fact that Universities are so scared of lawsuits leads to them pushing kids farther and farther off campus to drink. It is in the unfamiliar scenarios and places that I feel most of these consent type scenarios happening.

I feel that if universities became wet campuses and the drinking age was lowered to 18, a lot of these problems might resolve themselves. Kids wouldn't be forced off campus to drink, and the ability to buy a drink individually rather than having to buy in bulk would hopefully lead to more responsible consumption.

Just from listening to DeBord you can really tell where Butch gets a lot of his philosophies and how he handles/goes about things from. If I had to bet I would say these two are going to mesh really well.

Couple notes from today's War Room on VQ.

-Brent Hubbs has been showing very strong progress in his recovery.

-Quentin Dormady has been cleared to throw. He threw several days this week in extensive session.

-Likewise, Jauan Jennings has a really good work ethic. However, his struggles throwing the football have been consistent early on. He's very raw from a fundamental standpoint.

-Dobbs continues to progress from a leadership and fundamental standpoint. He's being more vocal and assertive. He's really focused on improving his accuracy.

-Dillon Bates is back after his shoulder surgery last season. Has been very active in the defensive skill development sessions. Several people in and around the program are very excited about a healthy Bates. They praised his instincts and overall IQ.

-Another guy that is back is Josh Smith, and he has already started to turn some heads. Seems like he hasn't missed a beat. There's been no rust to knock off.

-As for Treyvon Paulk, he has a lot of people on the team and around the program in his corner right now. He's still enrolled at UT. However, after seeing what came out about Riyahd Jones and what could potentially happen in the Johnson/Williams case, it may be best for UT to move on.

Volatil just struck a co-worker

If Dobbs can improve his accuracy, he will definitely be the best QB in the SEC next year. That was really the only part of his game I felt was very lacking last year.

I was super impressed with that press conference.

I feel like we just got an upgrade at OC and somehow didn't impact staff-continuity in the process.

I believe the same things were said about Dobbs as well. He hasn't even gone through a spring practice and people are ready to switch him to safety.

If you're not sold on Debords ability to do this job something's wrong. We're in good hands. (Allstate) he's going to help Mahoney especially in recruiting. He's the real deal. Good presser.

I honestly think having the whole off-season knowing he is for sure #1 will push him even more. I fully expect him to be a changed qb next season. I also think the chemistry between him and the WR's will strengthen as well, which can only help.
