Ukraine Protests

Interesting scenario, let me ask you this.

Say the Mexican and South American immigrants keep pouring across the border. One day in the near distant future they start occupying former territory of Mexico (Texas and whatnot) and government buildings with support of the Mexican government. They declare themselves independent and wish to return the land to Mexico. What, in your opinion, should the United States government do?

Actually I was being facetious. I don't think that will ever happen and if it did I'd want my govt to respond with force....lots of it!

Pacer, the US has been "pivoting towards Asia" as of late.

What do you think about Putin's latest pivot towards North Korea?

I hate to be confrontational but are you still denying Russia is involved? A Russian drone in a box is pretty convicting evidence. The Russian Foreign Ministry links some Croatian media report of a few Croatians volunteering as evidence of massive foreign soldiers in Ukraine's army. RT had some guy who had an English/American accent as proof NATO was involved.

Like I said before, there are plenty of media sources showing photos. The fact that Russia won't allow free and independent media along the border to take and post photos somehow makes it proof Russia is not involved. YouTube has plenty of videos of convoys driving through. Bellingcat has his own site. You say Russia is not involved but yet all of this material ONLY available in Russia and through official channels finds its way across. You claim freelancers. But as I said, Russia does not allow right to bear arms to this level especially to the point of a tank in every driveway.

Your problem is even with evidence you always come back with some lousy excuse about how it is still not proof. But yet you keep making stupid claims I ask for proof on and you have yet to offer me anything. I've asked you at least a half dozen times in the few days I've been back on for proof to your claims. You and Ras have yet to offer anything. I really do not expect you to provide proof because there isn't any. And I guess we deal with this circular argument of you making claims with no evidence and us providing evidence with our claims but yet you always have some excuse why it is not enough.

Russia is involved...I'll give you that! We just disagree that Russian regulars are fighting in Ukraine.

The US tends to have normal relations with its neighbors, Fidel Castro aside.

But, wouldn't you know it: that's normalizing too.

No, they are. The Kremlin has admitted as such. The Kremlin just claims that they're doing it on their leave time.

If you believe that Russia, a country that believes in micromanaging persons so much that LGBT drivers are considered a public hazard while current members of the military are allowed to do whatever the hell they wish on leave, would so nonchalantly overlook such a thing, then I feel more sorry for you than I do for Rasputin.

You know the recent Rob Lowe commercials, where he warns you not to be "dumb" (for lack of a better word) Rob Lowe? Don't be Rasputin.

What makes you support using force in this scenario but not supporting Ukrainian authorities in using force?

Maybe it's just the poet in me, but there's still a glimmer of hope I see in your digital interface's eye, Pacer. I can see it. I can feel it. I can smell it.

Rasputin? That guy left civilization years ago. He's a bad influence.

There will be an excuse I am sure but here goes....as you watch each of these please let me know where all of this equipment comes from. Many of these models are completely distinctive ONLY to Russia. Considering Ukraine is scraping to come up with equipment and these groups have unlimited supplies of Russia specific hardware, I'd love to know your conclusion on where this comes from.

I think it's an economical move for Russia in excjange for protection. Jmo

Russia's more hard-up than I realized if it needs North Korea for an economic or military pivot.

Of course, we all know Russia allows North Korea to send political prisoners to the Russian Far East to work themselves to death. I think it probably has more to do with the fact that Putin and Lil' Kim really aren't that different in terms of their approaches to leadership.

For just a moment I thought we were going to have an actual interesting debate on this than you pull this.

That's just another reason why I just stated that there's a glimmer there. There's an actual human being in Pacer.

Rasputin - he might as well just be some bot that constantly posts crap you anticipated about 100 posts earlier. He's a walking stereotype.

So entire groups of people who have the same unit markings as well as all of their equipment (weapons, APC's, tanks, etc) are what exactly? I'm still waiting for you to explain how this is pulled off. Please do convince me that these well armed and consistently linked "not regulars" are just stray volunteers that discovered some magic portal or bottomless pit of Russian equipment matching their units inside Ukraine. I would love to know how this is done.

And I guess the Committee of Soldiers' Mothers based in Russia is a bunch of lying women as well.

I forgot about them. I'm surprised no one has mentioned them in the past.

We've posted probably dozens of pics in the past but you don't seem to care. I listed an independent review of the arms and munitions used by both sides and in the list are some equipment never exported from Russia. Go onto Twitter and there are a few dozen accounts that track and identify the various equipment used by the separatists. What more do you want us to do?

:birgits_giggle:

You keep laughing about that. Why? Are you saying there is no credible voice of anything on Twitter? Well then I guess that rules out all your Russian sources of info you quote from. I think we have a few people who have backed their claims up with evidence and we have two who giggle like girls but have yet to back up any of their wild claims. So keep on snickering and trolling. You've now moved to "entertainment" category for the topic.

Pacer, you answered my question about nuclear attack I asked of you yesterday. And I appreciate it.

I recall having asked you, however, a couple weeks ago about what part of Russia you would like to carve up if indeed America is seeking to in fact carve it up.

What part would you prefer us have? If no part, then that's fine. I understand. Going to be an ethical guy. I get it.

Personally, I wish we'd take all of Siberia. At least take it to the central Siberian plain. See, I think that the Russians have gotten a bit smug about their capacity to defend their country from an invasion from the west with only 5-30 million casualties each go-round, but I think if we take it from the east, through an Alaskan-based invasion (allowing the Ukrainian crisis to serve as a diversion, since Russia has moved up many of its troop positions there), then we can take that mother****er!

Just my two cents.

Nuclear warfare is the only snag here, but you better bet your sweet little honey crisp apples that I'll figure some way around it. Just give me time.

I'm a warm weather kinda guy! Bikinis and the such. I'd love the Crimea but you can thank a not so hot milf(v. Nuland) for that! Lol

Obviously if it's not Putin himself along with the rompin stompin Red Army posing in front of the "Welcome to Donetsk" sign, you know it isn't legit and is just propaganda.

The European Union just said they will issue fresh sanctions if Russia does not follow through with the new Minsk Accords. Also in the same BBC article I read it says one separatist commander will not honor the cease-fire.
