Is it time for revolution?

What makes the views of those who don't own land less important?

Or is this just another one of the republican things were they try to bring back outdated racist laws that prevent minorities from voting?

I'm curious, how many people that consider themselves landowners... really are. My guess is that in at least 90% of the cases the bank holds the title.

This is true. But even after paying off said land, the fed still owns your property.

Owned land could be as simple as 1/4 acre where your home sits. (Just an example)

No one is truly a landowner. Don't pay your property taxes and you'll find out who really owns the land.

Absolutely. I think most would be sold at drug stores, OTC of course. But yes. They should be sold at different shops. It's my body. The things I put in it are my decision. Meth and cocaine have both been sold over the counter previously along with herion and other opiates. Most of them were sold as cure alls.

And why do you say "legit" businesses. Do you not consider alcohol or tobacco companies to be legit?

Do you think meth should be legal?

I "own" my 12 acres... free and clear with no mortgage. Like hog said though, if I didn't pay my taxes...

100% yes. It's been legal before and should be again. So should steriods and all other illicit drugs

You are an idiot. Steroids are legal. And meth addicts die. Just because it is legal does not mean that a highly addictive drug will not be abused. Meth will.

You mean like requiring a photo ID to vote?

Yeah, that's racist...

I was thinking more of literacy, land ownership, etc. but those are unnecessary as well. It's legaslation for a problem that doesn't exist. I imagine congress could find far more useful things to work on.

Steriods are legal? Wtf are you talking about?

And smokers die too. So you're going to have to do better than that.

I've never claimed being legal would prevent drug abuse. But that doesn't mean it should be a crime. If an adult makes that decision, it should be up to them. Just like choosing to gamble or choosing to enjoy a cheap hooker.

I'm still waiting for anyone to give a reasonable explanation for this.

Well, I don't know about steriods, but steroids certainly are. Of course they are abused... illegally... but so are pain killers. I see you would like for any drug to be abused with no consequence. There are always consequences. If you kill yourself, I couldn't care less, but the potential is to kill someone else in your quest to be high, and that I do have a problem with. Meth is a highly addictive drug, and your belief that making it legal will make it less dangerous is naive and just plain stupid.

so they're only legal if the government tells you you can have them? That's a weak argument. And why should the government be telling me what I need? If I want to take steroids, I should be able to.

(Insert "I thought this was america" South Park gif.

And I've never claimed making them illegal or legal makes them less dangerous. But I will say this, it's sad when you have to defend why you should be allowed to do something.

Within your last paragraph lies the problem. You speak of people committing crimes in a "quest" to get high. If you legalize, the market becomes flooded and the prices drop. This would most likely lower drug related crime rates....but even it did not

DOING DRUGS SHOULD NOT BE A CRIME. You only harm yourself. If a user does harm someone else, hold them accountable.

You called him stupid after saying he claimed something that I don't see he claimed.

Where did he say making it legal would make it less dangerous? Where did he say there were no consequences?

We don't do that very well with the drugs that ARE legal, what makes you think that when we legalize highly addictive drugs like meth and cocaine that we would do better?
