Maybe some think since we are the 3rd school he has committed to that he will flip to a&m? I don't necessarily agree, just throwing it out.

With how we look to close now i only see that happening if we land an upgrade not the other way around. We have the very best situation bar none for a RB of his type.

Per Callahan:

"The Vols also are scheduled to host at least a few of their current commitments — including wide receiver Preston Williams, cornerback Justin Martin, running back Kendall Bussey and offensive lineman Venzell Boulware — along with offensive tackle Jack Shutack, a preferred walk-on candidate who claims a handful of Football Bowl Subdivision scholarship offers."

He has five offers, but has narrowed it down to us and Rutgers.

So, a "number of friends" at UT but apparently not at ole miss. Further bucks the trend of what some believe about how many kids are at UT from memphis and MUS. It's only going to get better too, as the winning increases.

Memphis athletes vs student is a completely different debate. Despite proximity, Memphis is still instate to UT, so Memphis students are eligible for lower tuition and lottery scholarships to UT, not Ole Miss. Athletes go free wherever, so the tuition consideration goes out the window.

With all this coming out now about Richmond visiting only Tennessee this weekend I can't help but think this is how it turns out heading forward to Signing Day... Hubbs said 2 guys will get cut, and I think that maybe Bussey and Kyle Oliver.

Then Hubbs or GFW said we get 2 on NSD and if that's true then we get Pat Allen and Drew Richmond.

If that's the case, this will officially be the perfect class because we got 2 REALLY good, true OT's

Not sure about Allen but hope like hell we grt them both. The second could be Patrick or another surprise.

K Mac, Kamara, J Martin my vote for most immediate impact. Sooo loaded tho.

Oops forgot I was in this thread

Not true, but I'm not going to start that argument up again. It's just a fact.

Also, OC hasn't been announced because Butch has been murdering the recruiting trail

It's so unhealthy the amount of time he's put on his body doing this whole recruiting thing but I'm not complaining

I can add a little to how hard Butch goes at it.

I live in Ohio and my wife works in the Cincinnati area. Her job allows her to be in contact with a lot of people from the area and get to know them some. She recently was speaking to someone whose spouse works for the UC AD and did while Butch was there. She talked about how much she loved Butch's wife and then mentioned how Butch made everyone else's life much more difficult because of how hard he works, which means everyone else has to as well. She said that CBJ can have sleeping difficulties because of how hard it is for him to slow down.

This came as no surprise to me. In fact, my wife and I had been talking two days before that about how much we would have to be paid to do what CBJ does. If you're an assistant making $300k, with no expectations of moving up to a lot more pay, there's no way it would be worth it to me to work that hard.

And for those saying you can work as hard as CBJ does and be a family man, you're right - and wrong. He can love his family a lot and provide well for them. BUT, he can rarely be with them. It's the price he and his wife have agreed to pay.

Agreed. All 3 will essentially be starters with KMac filling J. Williams' spot, Kamara splitting carries with Hurd and Martin taking over for Coleman.

Not trying to be nitpicky here, but Wiliiams played the 3 technique. Isn't Mckenzie expected to be more of a 1 technique in our 4-3 under? It seems like it would make more sense for him since he'll be our biggest strongest DT (well, Owen Williams probably lifts more, but you know what I mean) pretty much as soon as he steps on campus.

Khalil should be great from a 0-5 technique. He has size, but also great quickness. Just a versatile Down Lineman

Agree anyone of our lineman or TE can learn to be a quality long snapper

Maybe, but it's tougher than one would think. There's QB's that can't throw a spiral. A long snapper has to sling a spiral between their legs and worry about a rush.
