Ehhhh I agree that a lot of people lick the toes of Swanson a bit too much, and I used to make somewhat similar posts about what you're saying, minus the whole being butthurt part of course. So I think you should chill man.

I'm not a sheep... Does that mean I have groupies then?!

Why is he in the RF to rant anyway unless he gets some pleasure out if it.

This message is hidden because VolBalla2014 is on your ignore list.

Guarantee that wasn't a thing until like 30 minutes ago when the truth hit you and you couldn't stand it . Sigchig, you were one of the more vocal oppositions to Butch when he was hired so why should I give a **** what you think.

Speaking of money what did Bajakian make here? Who is our highest paid assistant right now?

Have the raises been publicized yet or do we know if Butch has granted them? I wonder if he held off knowing he was going to have to replace CMB and wanted to hold back until he knew who he would be paying and how much he would need.

Of course if he has already awarded them I will sit back and be quiet and try to keep up from now on.

Are we 100 percent sure that this "DeBord" guy isn't just Fulmer trying to weasel his way back into the program?

Not yet. Last year they weren't finalized until April 1.

I think some people are closet masochists and like saying things that'll get them berated by others.

The thing that tickled me the most is how he made such a blanket statement. A lot of people fall well outside the parameters he set up in that ridiculously long post. I mean hell with all the work I give Freak and the mods I'm basically antiestablishmentarian lol

Bajakian made $480,000. I think Jancek is about the same.

Butch made it his policy to pay both coordinators exactly the same. So Jancek will expect his bump to match the salary of the new hire. Otherwise, he could get POd enough to look around. Salaries within a closeknit group can get tricky.

Look, I realize a coaching staff doesn't build silos around respective positions, especially when there is that underlying expertise. His point: All he has to say is "I coached Jake Long." My point: well, that may not be a lie, but it's not very precise.

As for Carr, sure, he was Jake Long's head coach. So yes, he coached him. But considering Carr's expertise was defense, I would say that his contribution to Long's development was marginal.

I see what you're saying. I think it's hogwash, but I do get your point.

Should be more. That young woman has to deal with this for the rest of her life.

He will to. Prisoners are going to be like, "You and me baby are nothing but mammals so lets do it like they do it on the Discovery Channel."

He will go into prison as a tight end and come out a wide receiver.

Ok folks. This whole ripping on OLD, BALD guys is beginning to really get on my nerves!!!

I'm old. I'm bold. Get over it!!!

:cray:

I'm older than DeBord and might have a few more hairs on my head than he does but I'm proud to still be alive to read all the crying by the young whipper-snappers. I can only hope that when you get as old as DeBord that people don't want you kicked in the face like some are doing him. What goes around comes around.

I know, it's a message board and it's supposed to work like this. :)

What's funny is he found a way to throw in the Sniper movie and berate that in the rant. So I'll go there. " best movie ever made, should be watched in grade school". Required.

A friend of mine with solid connections still thinks Azzanni's involved in the OC role in some way. Either a full promotion or co-OC with whoever comes in

I heard patrick brown talking on the radio today. He said he didn't think we would pay $1 mil for a coordinator because it would put the rest of the staff so far behind and might upset some of the coaches here already. He said they were getting a bump but didn't think they going to get a bump to bring them up to that level either. He also said he thinks someone will be named before visits this weekend. TIFWIW

Makes sense to me. That's why I said earlier even though Hubbs said money would not be able issue, those taking that serious hasn't been paying attention.

I find it ironic that the folks that keep pointing out that Fulmer didn't hire DeBord, neglect to mention that he did hire the up-and-comer and got fired for it.

And for the record, old guys are cautious because we know from experience the 27 ways what we are trying to do can fail. Young guys don't and dive right in. We celebrate the few that end up discovering better ways, but conveniently forget the majority that crash and burn.

And yes, old guys can actually learn new stuff...contrary to the dog trick thing.

I can definitely accept being called FOS as long as what I'm being FOS about is clear.

Sorry, I thought that my point about a head coach and an offensive coordinator having more than marginal impact on an offensive football player on their team was too obvious to really type out.

I didn't understand your point initially. I do now and I disagree. I'm gonna leave it at that.. Good day sir.
