Nothing has changed in terms of Mike DeBord being the Vols' frontrunner. DeBord spent the entire weekend on Rocky Top and logged extensive time with players and staff, most notably returning starting quarterback Joshua Dobbs. DeBord also is mulling an NFL offer, which multiple sources told us is with the Atlanta Falcons and could unfold by midweek.

Expect Jones and at least one other member of his UT staff to conduct no less than three interviews in the next 36 hours away from Knoxville. Candidates are expected to fly in to meet Jones.

While Zach Azzanni remains in play at Central Michigan, UT continues to hope that it can potentially elevate both Azzanni and Robert Gillespie into greater roles within the staff.
