What's the point of signing day if you can still sign after?

It's just the 1st day you can sign, and 99% of the players do. Some that are undecided, or may have grade issues, wait.

Yeah, it can definitely go past NSD. NSD is just the first day that recruits can fax their letter of intent. Bryce Brown delayed his for nearly a month.

This. Kickers, punters, and long snappers do their own thing the entire practice except for the couple of periods where the entire special team units come together.
