This is very interesting, because a bunch of our commits will be taking their official visit this coming weekend. He will have a ton of influence from his peers all around him. If he makes it to Knoxville, I am going to guess that we pull off the NSD flip.

Hopefully he doesn't have the wrong kind of influence on our commits...

He didn't "rule out" a visit to UT. Said he could possibly wait until after NSD, possibly even as late as April so that he could visit Bama one more time.

Said he could see himself playing anywhere.

Just my mindset. 4th qtr, game on the line, 4th down and goal at the 2....give me a kid who grew up hoping for the moment in Orange. Now if he is a legacy from out of state and this all applies, I'll make an exception.
If he's a MAC-caliber piece of crap, it won't matter how much he wants to win for Tennessee. And make no mistake, we're going to bring in a lot of MAC-caliber talents if we follow your approach.

So I'll ask this again: what makes Tennessee linemen inherently better football players than linemen from other states? Is it something in the water? Something genetic? Or is it just a load of feel good BS with no basis in reality?

My OL class would have consisted of Richmond, Jones, Stewart, Lovingood, and Givens if you read what I posted. I suppose we could wait and see who sign with MAC schools on NSD. If I were you, I would not feel very good about it. Call it a hunch.

Visiting Tennessee next weekend and Alabama after that. Interesting. I don't see how Alabama would take him with 6 OL already committed.

Visiting both next weekend, or Bama another weekend?
What's the point of signing day if you can still sign after?

Yes, he would be working with the OL. I'd think it's common for a LS to work with the OL a lot. Jmo

Also, just pointing out how stocking up on instate talent is really not that absurd.

No. He would be working with special teams as a long snapper...all practice, every practice.
